Reiseverlauf

Very enjoyable day. Saw great scenery and an epic waterfall and mud pools. Well worth the long bus trip.
Very good bus trip and sight seeing was excellent Very informative, efficient and helpful. There is some gentle walking but plenty time to see most of the sights
This tour visited 4 amazing locations by coach bus. The tour guide was fantastic and told us so many facts as well as cute stories!
Even with swarms of buggy midges, we saw dramatic lava formations, amazing geothermal area with bubbling mud pools, steaming fumaroles and sulfur deposits. The highlight was Gooafoss Waterfall.
It was a beautiful excursion. The time allotted for the various points of interest was sufficient. The guide was kind and gave enough explanations along the way
Very nice excursion, very great tour guide. Everything was perfect. Very well organized, we were picked up directly at the ship. During the excursion, we received a lot of detailed information
Great trip to see Iceland’s geological sites- lava fields, boiling mud pools, pseudo craters and beautiful waterfall. Learned so much from our guide, Marvin. Only very limited snack bars to grab lunch.
Thank you for your wonderful 5-star review! We’re so glad you enjoyed the incredible landscapes and that Marvin made the tour informative and memorable! We also appreciate your feedback and we hope to see you again in Iceland!
We thoroughly enjoyed this excursion. Being picked up at the cruise terminal made it even better. Our tour guide Peter was knowledgable and made our trip even better by changing the sequence of the itinerary. We stopped at the Godafoss waterfalls early in the day to take advantage of the sunshine and the amount of visitors. Thank you Peter for a wonderful day!
Thank you so much for your 5-star review! We’re delighted you had a wonderful day and that Piotr’s knowledge and experience made the tour even more enjoyable. We will make sure to share your kind words with him!
We took the tour when our cruise ship docked in Akureyri. The tour was as described. There was a booth for Saga Tours at the berth, and so meeting the tour was easy. Our guide Marvin, and our driver were amazing. Marvin was so fluent in English (which wasn't his native language) that I'd thought he'd lived in the US growing up. He kept up an excellent narration the entire time we were on the coach -- about 6 hours, excluding stops. If I were to take this tour again, I'd have worn rain pants instead of just a rain coat, and I'd have dressed more warmly -- but I thought that the tour was great.
Thank you for your kind words! We’re happy to read you enjoyed the tour and found Marvin and our driver so wonderful. We hope to welcome you back in Iceland someday!
Very interesting ride but the midges at the lake will drive you nuts. Buy the head net at the first stop or bring your own.
Thank you for your 5-star review despite the midges that day! 😄 Some days they certainly can make an impression! We’re glad you enjoyed the tour and thanks for the tip!
