Ihre Tour beginnt mit dem Transport von Krakau (Hotel, das Sie angegeben haben, oder ein Treffpunkt, aus dem Sie wählen). Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum befindet sich in der Stadt Oswiecim, ca. 1Std15Min in einer Richtung (65km). Jeder Fahrer, mit dem wir zusammenarbeiten, hat alle EU-Zulassungen für den Personenverkehr. Ein Englisch sprechender und freundlicher Anführer der Gruppe hilft Ihnen jederzeit weiter. Nach Ihrer Ankunft in Oswiecim machen Sie eine kurze Pause, um einen Kaffee zu trinken oder die Ausstellungen im Freien im Auge zu behalten. Dann stellen Sie sich Ihrem lokalen und professionellen Fortgeschrittener vor, der vom Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum lizenziert ist.
Beginnen Sie Ihre Tour mit einem Spaziergang durch das Tor zum ersten Lager - Auschwitz I - das ursprünglich als Konzentrationslager konzipiert war, um als Gefangenenlager für die vielen polnischen Bürger genutzt zu werden, die nach der Annexion des Landes durch Deutschland 1939 verhaftet wurden, mit dem erkennbarsten Schild Arbeit Macht Frei.Dieser Teil dauert normalerweise 2 Stunden und Sie werden ein Headset verwenden, um Ihren Fortgeschrittener klar zu hören. Die Gruppe zählt laut Museumsregel bis zu 30 Personen, die den Besuch für jeden Teilnehmer komfortabel und zugänglich machen. Besuchen Sie die originalen Holzgebäude, befestigten Mauern, Stacheldrähte, Gaskammern und Krematorien - all das hinterlässt einen schockierenden Seitenabruf, der das Ausmaß des Holocaust vorstellt.
Nach dem 1. Camp ist eine kurze Pause von bis zu 15 Minuten geplant. Sie werden von uns mitgenommen, um den zweiten Teil der Tour zu besuchen - Birkenau (Auschwitz II), nur 3 Minuten entfernt, welches das größte Lager ist, das speziell für den Zweck gebaut und betrieben wird, Europa ''Judenrein'' (frei von Juden) zu machen. Derselbe Fortgeschrittener führt einen ergreifenden Vortrag über das 1941 auf Befehl von Heinrich Himmler (SS-Kommandeur) errichtete Lager in Brzezinka (Birkenau) mit rund 90 000 Häftlingen fort. Es werden schreckliche Geschichten von unvorstellbaren Lebensbedingungen sowie grausame Selektionen und pseudowissenschaftliche medizinische Experimente prominenter NS-Ärzte wie Josef Mengele erzählt. Eine Geschichte über Soldaten der 60. Armee der Ersten Ukrainischen Front öffnete am 27. Januar 1945 die Tore von Auschwitz, was die endgültige Befreiung bedeutete, beendet Ihre Tour mit einem Gefühl, sowohl dieser Völkermord hätte nie passieren dürfen als auch er kann nicht wieder passieren.
Wenn die Tour endet, werden Sie von uns nicht gehetzt. Es gibt mindestens 20 Minuten Pause, die Sie in einem Buchladen, Lebensmittelgeschäft oder einfach nur ausruhen können. Nach weiteren 1h15min auf dem Weg werden Sie zu einer vorbestimmten Adresse in Krakau gebracht.

- [WETTER] Die Tour läuft bei jedem Wetter. Bis zu 70% des Besuchs finden im Freien statt, also bitte an warmen Tagen Wasser mitbringen.
- Kinder müssen von einem Erwachsenen begleitet werden. Kindersitze sind vorhanden. Aufgrund der sensiblen Natur des Geländes wird die Tour ab 13 Jahren empfohlen.

I’m not one for reviews but this is one of the most unforgettable experiences in my life the stories you hear and the sights you see first hand it’s something else that words cannot explain. The price is worth it especially if you’re doing the salt mine aswell the salt mine in itself is an amazing and wonderful experience. The entire tour took all day which if you’re going to do it make sure you pick a full day. The hello krakow team are really helpful and informative if you have any questions or queries they’re more than happy to answer or help I don’t think I can recommend something as much

since last year I visited the museum in November, I can say that there is a pretty big difference between the first and second visit. I can say that the guide this time seemed bored, he was somehow trying to finish what he had to say as quickly as possible. Plus, the bus ride took 1 and 45 minutes when it should have taken an hour and a half maximum.

Our trip to Auschwitz Birkenau was very poorly managed, such that we felt unable to experience what we had expected. We had planned carefully to have at least four hours for our self-guided tour, so that we could spend plenty of time reflecting on what we saw. Our trip was on 1st August 2026, on which date the site closed at 7pm, as normal in the summer months. So, we booked a 1pm pick-up in Krakow, to allow for a journey taking about one and a quarter hours. We expected this would leave us with at least four and a half hours for the visit. However, the pick-up time was changed by ‘Hello Cracow’ the tour provider to 2pm and then changed again to 2:30pm. We knew the pick-up time could be changed, but were given no expectation that the change could be so big. At this point, we asked to be put onto an earlier trip instead, but were told this was not possible and we were assured we would have plenty on time at the site. An error by the organisers resulted in all the others in our group having the wrong information about the pick-up vehicle, so none of them boarded the vehicle when we did. This caused a further delay of about fifteen minutes. We confirmed with the tour organiser that we would be self-guided, and would make our own way back to Krakow by train, and we also told the guide, as requested. On arrival, the guide gave the group a summary of the layout and history of Auschwitz Birkenau, and then took us to the Birkenau entrance. There, we had to wait until 5pm to gain entrance, leaving only two hours for our visit, which was totally inadequate. After about one hour at Birkenau, we made our way to Auschwitz on the free coach provided. A wait for the coach, plus the journey time, getting through security and walking to the start, took about twenty minutes, leaving us only forty minutes to view Auschwitz. This was hugely frustrating and we felt the organisers has failed to give us appropriate information and had mishandled the trip. The organisers of this trip should make it clear to their customers how much the pick-up time might be changed, and how long it can take to gain access to each part of the site. If our experience is typical, then why offer a pick-up time of 1pm, and claim: “At Auschwitz I, you will receive your entry ticket for an independent exploration. This 2-hour self-paced visit allows you to walk through the original prisoner barracks and preserved camp buildings at your own speed, providing the space needed for personal reflection.” We were aware of the reference to ‘2-hour self-paced visit’, which was the reason we had said we would make our own way back by train, so we would not be limited to two hours.

We were shoved into a van that was way too small for the number of people that were in it. It was very uncomfortable for that long drive. I don’t know how to regulate that and I don’t know how to make any recommendations to avoid it but that was a real thing

Painful but you have to go. Don't be concerned on crowds you see in beginning, the guides handle in groups and discuss everything well. Ear phones keep the talk continuous even if you lag a bit.

This was a really great experience. The bus was on time and we chose the 6am one which was good because it gets very very busy later in the day. The tour guide at the museum was exceptional. He was super knowledgeable and we learnt a lot. I would recommend this tour.
