Die Szeroka-Straße ist das Herz des jüdischen Kazimierz. Von seiner Bedeutung zeugt die Tatsache, dass früher vier Synagogen auf der Straße standen, was nirgendwo sonst in Europa zu finden war.
In der Szeroka-Straße, die nicht nur als Bühne des Abschlusskonzerts des Jüdischen Kulturfestivals, sondern auch als jahrhundertealtes Zentrum des jüdischen Lebens in Kazimierz bekannt ist, steht eine der ältesten Synagogen in Polen, die in einem so guten Zustand erhalten ist
Die Pfarrkirche St. Joseph ist ein markanter, weithin erkennbarer Ort der Andacht. Sie dominiert die Oberfläche des Podgórze-Marktplatzes, eines zentralen Punkts der Stadt, die erst im 20. Jahrhundert nach Krakau eingemeindet wurde.
Sehen Sie ein kleines Fragment der ursprünglichen Mauer um das ehemalige Ghetto, das bis heute erhalten ist, mit einer Gedenktafel, die an das Schicksal der Bewohner erinnert
Im Stadtteil Podgórze gelegen, der 1941 in das Krakauer Ghetto umgewandelt wurde, wurde der ehemalige Plac Zgody [Platz der Eintracht] unter der Nazi-Besatzung zum „Umschlagplatz“ erklärt, wo sich die Juden zur Deportation versammeln mussten.
Dieser symbolische Ort ist ein kleiner Lichtblick auf der Karte des tragischen Ortes, der das jüdische Ghetto war. Die damalige polnische Apotheke fungierte als Asyl oder Botschaft, bot Schutz während der Deportation, lieferte Nachrichten oder Pakete innerhalb und außerhalb des Ghettos.

This tour was amazing as someone who has never visited the city. Exceptional detail & facts about each corner of the town, lots of history, and chances to get out and explore gardens, churches, synagogues, etc. Tour guide was Martina and she was AMAZING!! 10/10 tour.
My sister and I took this tour. We sat at the back, and unfortunately the guide did not have the audio equipment we had seen in other buggies. Although he was giving commentary at several sites, we were unable to hear him. The tour was very fast paced and quite fun although you had to hang on for you life.
If you're looking for the "highlights" tour, this is a good option. There are many notable landmarks to see as you ride comfortably in an electric golf cart. The tour is relatively short but covers the major sights in the Jewish quarter and ghettos. While the cart stops, briefly, at the most notable landmarks, you are not able to get out and explore except for 2 spots. The operator provides headsets and runs a recording that shares a lot of information along the way. The guide does a nice job of pointing things out as well. The tour was ontime, inexpensive and staff was friendly.
Wonderful tour with Natalie, just wish the cart roof blocked the sun. We stopped at a couple of sites to be able to walk through them on our own. Definitely worth the time and money.
Very cool trip. Exciting stories throughout the tour Beautiful altar in a Jewish church. Good guide who told extra about several places. Can be highly recommended.
We enjoyed this tour round in the electric buggy but would’ve preferred more time to get out in the Jewish quarter & have a proper look round. We hadn’t realised it was mostly a drive by tour. We still enjoyed it though.

Outstanding tour! So much better than I expected and so happy I didn’t do the walking tour. Love that I didn’t have to speed walk to keep up with a guide, nor have to finagle to the front to be able to hear better. Our golf cart at 8 to 10 people, and we didn’t drive around with other carts, so much more intimate and chill vibe that expected. Our guide ran a pre-recorded tape over the speaker so we didn’t have to wear headsets. He also stopped it every so often and added his own commentary. Really nice blend of the information. Because the itinerary said pass by, pass by, pass by, it was surprising that we stopped twice and got to get off. Walked around, on our own & went inside, a beautiful church and a fantastic area where Pope John Paul II gave a famous speech. All the other places we saw, the guide stopped & we had plenty of time to take pictures. The tour was the perfect amount of time, which is unusual because I always feel like they’re either too long or too short. Our guide was kind, informative, and an excellent driver. Do not miss this tour! With the various local people walking around, it really brought home what the Jews lives were like just before Hitler’s “Final Solution”. The tour created the expected sadness in me, but it also gave me hope seeing so many businesses there now flourishing in spite of the heinous past of the area. Take this tour!!
Incredible experience overlaid with sadness for the thousands of people who were murdered or brutally killed in the camps. The golf cart is a very good way to see the Jewish area because it's convenient and environmentally friendly. Tymek is an excellent guide. Very knowledgeable and helpful.
