Auf dem Weg in den Yangmingshan-Nationalpark haben Sie vielleicht die Chance, Formosan-Makken zu sehen. Die Höhe beträgt etwa 700 bis 1.000 Meter, so dass es etwas kühler als die Stadt sein wird. Die Hauptattraktionen sind Qingtiangang Grassland und Xiaoyoukeng Recreation Area.
Auf dem Yangmingshan-Nationalpark gelegen, ist Qingtiangang ein weitläufiges, flaches Grasland, das einen spektakulären Panoramablick bietet. Mit einer Höhe von ca. 800 Metern ist die Temperatur etwas kühler als in der Stadt und somit ein idealer Ort für einen gemütlichen Spaziergang oder ein Picknick. Während der Japanischen Besatzungszeit wurde dieses Gebiet als Weidelandwirtschaft eingerichtet. Heute können Sie hier noch wilde Wasserbüffel und andere Wildtiere beobachten, die gemächlich weiden. Aufgrund seiner Höhenlage ist das Gebiet oft von Wolken und Nebel eingehüllt, wodurch eine einzigartige und ätherische Schönheit entsteht.
An der nordwestlichen Ecke des Berges Qixing auf einer Höhe von etwa 805 Metern gelegen, ist Xiaoyoukeng ein postvulkanischer geologischer Park, in dem Sie aktive vulkanische Phänomene hautnah erleben können. Wenn Sie näher kommen, können Sie Dampföffnungen sehen und den deutlichen Geruch von Schwefel aus der vulkanischen Aktivität riechen. Dieser Bereich dient eher als Aussichtsplattform, so dass Sie nicht lange laufen müssen, um die beeindruckende Landschaft zu genießen.
Der Geopark Yehliu ist eines der besten Reiseziele Nordtaiwans und beherbergt eine Sammlung einzigartiger geologischer Formationen, die von Wind und Meer geschnitzt wurden. Während der Park vor allem für den legendären Queen's Head bekannt ist, können Sie auch andere bemerkenswerte Formationen wie Sea Candles, Fairy Shoe, Ginger Rocks und Princess' Head entdecken. Da der Park ein offenes und exponiertes Gebiet mit wenig bis gar keinem Unterschlupf ist, ist es wichtig, auf das Wetter vorbereitet zu sein. Im Winter kann sich der starke Nordostmonsun ziemlich kalt und kühl anfühlen. Während des Sommers ist die Sonne sehr intensiv, so dass es dringend empfohlen wird, Sonnenschutzkleidung zu tragen oder einen Regenschirm mitzubringen und hydriert zu bleiben.

The tour was full of beautiful sights. We were excited for the trip, but our tour guide Jennifer, made the experience better than we could have ever expected. She is Passionate about the history and knowledgeable about all the surroundings. Very comfortable car, punctual, and fantastic English speaking. My fiancée has a gluten allergy and she was so helpful translating with locals so she could eat. Thank you for the wonderful experience Jennifer!
We had a great day out of the city with Cody, the weather was perfect to see the park and Neolithic carvings. He got to know us quickly and what we wanted to do. We had lots of questions and he was able to answer them all. He had good knowledge of where we visited. 👍 He was a very safe driver; we drove back in a thunderstorm, no worries though. The pace was perfect.
Even though the weather was not good, we still managed to see most of the sights and had a wonderful time! Ben, our guide, was warm and friendly and accommodating. He also helped us take many lovely family photos. Highly recommend this tour for a break from the usual city sights in Taipei!

I'd highly recommend this tour for those who want to experience some of the interesting geological features and natural beauty of the Greater Taipei area. Hicks was an excellent guide and knew all the best spots. A very enjoyable short tour.

The tour was very flexible, and we were picked up from our hotel by Henry who was friendly and informative. Plenty of time was given at each location to enjoy the view and take photos. we were able to collect many stamps from the visitor center and had a delicious fresh fish meal. Paul was a wonderful guide who was flexible and easy to work with. The rains brought thick fog to Yangmingshan National Park that we needed to have a plan B. Paul brought us to Jinshan instead which is the first settlement of the Hokkien migrants from Mainland China. It was a good alternative . Yehliu Geopark did not disappoint despite the continued drizzle.

If not for the weather, this would have been a great trip. We could not see anything in Yangmingshan National Park because of the fog but I was already warned by our superb tour guide Paul Yang. Paul had a plan B though and he brought us to Jinshan instead to experience authentic authentic Taiwanese lifestyle. This is the first settlement by their ancestors who travelled from the Hokkien province of mainland China thereby having almost - 400 years of history . Yehliu Geopark did not disappoint.

Vincent is a wonderful tour guide and anyone would be lucky to have his services. Highly recommended, its a private tour with him walking alongside and supporting and sharing/teaching about the area sites. Its not too overwhelming and you still get privacy with ur family but also a fun uncle/friend to banter and chat with. He really matches your energy and I would use his services again back in Taiwan :)
