Der Kirchenkomplex Tegher liegt am Südhang des Berges Aragats. Es besteht aus einer Kirche und einem Vorraum und wurde im 13. Jahrhundert unter dem Patronat von Vache Vachutians Frau – Mamakhatun – erbaut. Von großem Interesse ist der Vorraum, auf dessen Dach von der Südwest- und Nordwestecke aus kleine kapellenartige Kirchen gebaut wurden. Dieser Vorraum hat aufgrund seiner kostenintensiven Zusammensetzung einen besonderen Platz unter den architektonischen Denkmälern Armeniens. Es gibt eine atemberaubende Aussicht, die sich vom Gebiet des Komplexes zum Byurakan-Observatorium öffnet.
Die 1932 gegründete Weinfabrik "Voskevaz" bietet ihren Besuchern eine wunderbare und wirklich inspirierende Auswahl an Weinen. Das Besondere an diesem Weingut ist, dass hier Weine sowohl mit moderner Weinherstellungstechnologie als auch mit alten Karasen (traditionelle Gefäße für die Weinreifung) aus dem 19. Jahrhundert hergestellt werden. Während der Tour besuchen Sie Weinkeller, erkunden die Geschichte der Fabrik und lernen die Besonderheiten der Weinherstellung kennen.
Das Kloster Hovhannavank trägt den Namen Johannes des Täufers. Die älteste Kirche hier ist die einschiffige Basilika aus dem 5. Jahrhundert. Im 13. Jahrhundert, unter der Schirmherrschaft der Vachutian Herzöge, wurden neue Gebäude hinzugefügt. Von großem Interesse ist das Portal der Hauptkirche, das mit evangelischen Motiven verziert ist.

I had a wonderful experience on this tour and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Armenia. The itinerary is very well thought out and offers a perfect balance of history, culture, and local flavors. We first visited the beautiful Hovhannavank and Tegher Monasteries, where we learned about Armenia's rich religious and architectural heritage. The tour concluded with a guided visit and wine tasting at Voskevaz Winery, which was an excellent way to experience Armenia's ancient winemaking traditions. Our tour guide, Inna, was exceptionally knowledgeable and shared fascinating historical insights about each destination. Our driver, Ara, ensured a safe and comfortable journey throughout the day. Despite the large size of our group, they managed everything seamlessly and made sure everyone had an enjoyable experience. I also appreciated the English-language engaging and informative winery tour led by Gohar at Voskevaz Winery. Overall, this was an excellent tour with a great itinerary, professional staff, and memorable experiences. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to explore Armenia's cultural heritage and renowned wine traditions.

We enjoyed the tour in the 2 monasteries where we learned plenty of things about Armenian history and Culture. The bus was clean, well air-conditioned and both driver Arog and guide Nina were lovely and helpful
