Jahrhundert, dem einzigen erhaltenen heidnischen Tempel im Kaukasus, der dem Sonnengott Mihr geweiht ist. Bewundern Sie in der Nähe die atemberaubende Symphonie der Steine, dramatische Basaltsäulen, die durch vulkanische Kräfte über Jahrtausende geformt wurden. Erkunden Sie das UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe Kloster Geghard, das teilweise in die Klippen des oberen Azattals gehauen ist. Ergänzen Sie Ihr Erlebnis mit einer traditionellen Lavash-Backzeremonie im Tonir-Ofen – Armeniens berühmtem Brot, das von der UNESCO als immaterielles Kulturerbe anerkannt wurde.

Der erste Halt befindet sich in der Nähe des Arch of Charents, der zu Ehren des armenischen Dichters Eghishe Charents benannt wurde, der das beste, Armenien gewidmete Gedicht voller wahrer Liebe und Stolz schrieb. Von diesem Ort aus eröffnet sich ein atemberaubender Blick auf Ararat, den wahrscheinlich atemberaubendsten Blick auf den biblischen Berg.
Die nächste Station ist der Garni-Tempel (77 v. Chr.) - er ist der einzige stehende heidnische Tempel im gesamten postsowjetischen Gebiet. Der Tempel steht anmutig auf einem Hochplateau mit Blick auf die Azat-Schlucht. Die Umgebung selbst ist unglaublich schön. Das griechisch-römische Badehaus mit dem Mosaik aus 30.000 Natursteinen sowie die Ruinen des königlichen Palastes führen Sie ins 3. Jahrhundert nach Christus. Nicht weit vom Tempel von Garni entfernt (ca. 10 Gehminuten) befindet sich ein gemütliches lokales Restaurant mit herrlichem Blick auf den Tempel, in dem Sie sich entspannen und an der Meisterklasse der Verkostung von frisch gebackenem Lavash - traditionellem armenischem Fladenbrot - teilnehmen können .
Dieses majestätische Naturdenkmal ist nicht nur ein „Muss“ in Armenien, sondern „muss Fotos haben“. Bitte beachten* Die Gäste können die "Symphonie der Steine" bis zum ersten Schneefall besuchen.
Der Klosterkomplex von Geghard ist ein weiterer historischer Ort, der zu dieser Tour gehört. Hl. Geghard symbolisiert die Lanze, mit der der römische Zenturio Jesus nach dem Kreuzzug durchbohrt hatte. Später wurde die Lanze nach Armenien gebracht und fünf Jahrhunderte im Kloster Geghard aufbewahrt. Der Komplex präsentiert Armenien des 13. Jahrhunderts, das als goldenes Zeitalter der Architektur des Landes gilt. Das Erstaunlichste an diesem Komplex sind jedoch die architektonischen Lösungskirchen, die in den massiven Felsen gebohrt wurden und nach den Regeln der armenischen Architektur gebaut wurden. Das Geghard-Kloster steht auf der UNESCO-Liste des Weltkulturerbes.

Drove on June 14. We're very pleased. The tour is interesting - a lot of information on history, religion, traditions - and it's all accessible, easy to perceive. Guide Rubina talked all the way, answered all the questions exhaustively. The driver was driving us carefully. The car had air conditioning, the water in the fridge - the conditions were perfect. The route was thought out in detail. Despite Sunday and the crowds everywhere, there were no delays or expectations. A nice bonus in the form of local sweets. Definitely recommend travel agency and itinerary.

Superb visit that truly deserves 5/5; nothing to complain about. We do not particularly like guided tours under normal circumstances, but this one was different from the others. First, there is the visit to the arch with a view of Mount Ararat, then the Garni temple, and we had enough time to visit it on our own and with the guide. Then, you visit the symphony of stones: a pleasant little walk along the very nice path. Then the lavash with the ladies who cook it and let us taste it, and at the same place, the guide suggests a cheap restaurant; we paid €14 for two, and there are 4 options, including one vegetarian. It was the birthday of one of the visitors, so we were treated to a cake for dessert! Finally, we went to see the monastery: magnificent! I absolutely recommend this visit as it is perfect for all ages and very dynamic. Thank you to Anastasia the guide who was truly lovely and very pleasant, always with a touch of humor. She also taught us to dance an Armenian dance. Everything was perfect 5/5!! (You might want to take a light jacket for the trip as it can be a bit cold at higher altitudes)
