Ganztägige Tour in kleiner Gruppe auf Kreta mit Besuch der Zeushöhle

We had a great day on this tour. This is a very well run company with clear communication ahead of time, a wonderful itinerary and smooth transitions, and people like our wonderful guide Christos. We spent the right amount of time at each location, Christos would regularly pull over to grab herbs or flowers from the side of the road for us to smell and talk about, and also gave us wonderful tips about such herbs, olive oil, cheeses, etc. Lunch was delicious as well -- the chicken was sooo good! And Zeus' Cave was open, so that was a lovely plus (as noted in the description, the entrance fee is not covered in this tour but they take credit cards). There was also some downtime if people wanted to buy souvenirs, grab a snack, but we took that opportunity to visit an old church and marvel at its beauty. The one thing that would have made a huge difference for us (hence the 4/5 rating instead of the perfect 5/5) was the seating arrangement. As groups were picked up, the spots on the vehicle were filled "first come, first serve" but if possible, we would have wanted to have tall people not crammed in the back like my 6'2 (1.88 m tall) husband was. As we were the last group to be picked up, he was twisted sideways, his legs kept falling asleep, and he often bumped his head on the ceiling; meanwhile, there were petite guests with plenty of leg room sitting in the row in front of us (there's less space in the back). I noticed other large/tall men crammed in the back of other 4x4s from this same company, with their backs pressed flat against the window and I cannot imagine this being enjoyable or safe. But there's an easy fix! I would *strongly* recommend that the operator squeeze in time for the guide/driver to pull over in a safe place after all the pickups in order to reshuffle guests so that each individual can experience the 8-hour-long tour as comfortably as possible. One or two group(s) may be split up, but in my experience, most people understand and are very flexible, especially while on vacation. I would give that a try, because everything was otherwise wonderful. By the way, the seat belts are not there for decoration! When we went on unpaved roads, it was bumpy enough that my behind occasionally left the seat. I was worried about our kid who sometimes gets car sick, but the excitement and the Dramamine he took that morning made it so it was fun and enjoyable for him. He actually loved it. There was a bit of traffic on the way back so I wouldn't schedule another timed event right after in case of delays, though in our case we were back in Heraklion at a reasonable time. After all the crazy adventures (goats, cave, gorgeous sights, delightful lunch), it felt a bit strange to be back in the city. The excursion definitely showed us a different side of Crete that should not be missed!

We had a lot of fun with our driver, blonde Mike, and Giorgios explained everything to us perfectly in German and made the day an unforgettable one. The plateau with the Zeus Cave, the plantations, traditional villages, windmills, and the great lunch overlooking the sea in Elounda were very impressive to see.

Excellent tour. Our guide, Χριστός, really made the whole trip very enjoyable and exciting, and made sure we were well looked after at every stage. Lunch was good, the views were amazing. The Cave of Zeus might seem a pricey addition, but it's well worth it. Be aware that under 18s are free in the cave even if you're from the UK.

Fantastic day out with Dimitri as our driver/tour guide. We got to see parts of Crete that were inaccessible without them. Fantastic food and service and a great day out for our family. Genuinely the best activity on our holiday. Highly recommended.

Great way to see the gorgeous farmland of the plateau without driving yourself. Along the way you visit a farm with wonderful fresh cheese, Psychro cave, have a very authentic lunch and finish the day at an olive oil cooperative. The team is really fun and provides a lot of information. It's well worth a day of your time. I think it's important to note that the hike to the cave could be difficult for those with health conditions especially in the heat. Kids can ride a donkey, so it's fun for them.

Magical excursion! Nicolas showed us magical spots that we would not have been able to find on our own. We are a family with two children, including the youngest who is four years old, and it went very well. Everything is adapted for families. The guides are extraordinary, very human, and kind. We highly recommend it.

This was a great experience! Our guide Ron has given us a bomb of information about the island of Crete. Seen beautiful spots, also very nice to go holder the bollard off road! Nice to see life on the goat farm and the beautiful cave of Zeus! Great day!

Our guide was Ron. Ron is friendly and open he tells lots of fun and interesting information, facts and myths. It is clear that he has a passion for Crete and also conveys this passion. Our tour was well combined with another tour. Making it a really special tour with extras. Ron is a good driver, we felt safe. Thank you Ron for the great adventure we have had. Best activity we have done in Crete! We did the Zeus trails Safari. We are far from the bus excursions where you spend more time traveling than touring. There, the pace was perfect, our host/driver/guide was great, with a lot of humor but also a multitude of historical explanations. The meal was local and very good, for both the children and the adults. Thank you Nikolas!!
