Ab Krakau: Führung durch das Salzbergwerk

Worked great. Well organized. Orderly. No stress. When visiting this type of attraction, it is very good to choose an organised tour.

The whole experience was very interesting and well organised. The presentations of all exhibits were excellent.

This was a fantastic experience, not a far journey either from Krakow town. Only wishes was that it was a little longer. Thoroughly enjoyed tho.

Good transport and friendly driver Mateusz, knowledgeable tour guide. It was warm in the mine so we did get hot, but we had lots of layers on.

The Wieliczka Salt Mine is an absolute must see if you are anywhere close! We were picked up in a bus which held at least 40 people a five minute walk from our AirBNB. The description says we have a "Helpful driver at your disposal during the tour"-we had no interaction with him whatsoever nor did he do anything except drive. We were one of several stops along the way and there were no empty seats on the bus. When we arrived at our destination we were met by a representative from Cracow Top Tours who gave us a briefing of the itinerary, our tickets, the location of the bathrooms and how to get back to the bus at the end (this is very important since it is away from the entry point). After that he escorted us to the entry. We received headsets and then were handed off to an official guide at the mine. She was very good but did not always speak directly into the microphone making it hard to hear sometimes-not a big deal, just an observation. The mine itself is absolutely amazing, breath-taking, huge and an engineering feat-especially considering how old it is!! The information shared during our tour really was fantastic-I learned so much! I would have loved to eaten down there but we did not have time in our itinerary. When they say there are a lot of steps-they aren't kidding. We had 8 in our group plus an infant-it worked out fine. They had a super light stroller that folded up in 5 seconds so when we were not on the stairs it was easily navigable for them. At the end you take an elevator back to the top to exit. After the tour we made our way back to the bus and were dropped off back where we started.

The driver, pick-up and return were excellent. However, we were given a departure time from the salt mine tour, and we arrived a few minutes before the given time. The others in the shared ride were waiting and the driver called and texted that they were waiting for us to depart earlier than the time given by the driver. The actual tour was only two hours, not as advertised. The "English" guide Maria was difficult to understand and gave limited information. All in all, a disappointing experience.

Don’t book any other tour on the same day so that you are prepared for changes to your pick up and return time. Pre tour instructions from the tour operator were clear and precise. Peter spoke excellent English and was caring in helping us find our way back to van after the tour.

Our driver Kasper was an excellent organizer, he arrived on time and was very clear communicating with us. The visit was ok, maybe not the most enjoyable activity but the place is still historically significant and interesting. I would definitely recommend organizing other visits such as Auschwitz or a Folk show with this host!

The pickup and drop off was super easy…great communication! The description and the tips about all the steps, comfortable shoes, etc. was spot on. I would highly recommend.

Amazing experience that is well worth it. The tour guides are knowledgeable and skillful at moving a lot of people through the mine. There are a lot of steps, but we didn’t find it too arduous. Highly recommend experiencing the salt mine!
