Eloy was our guide and versatile with languages. One regrettable problem occurred at the very end of a fun day. At a tequila tasting one variety had an unusual ingredient (in the peanut family) and one family member had an immediate reaction. Eloy helped with finding pharmacy. But it caused an inconvenience for others due to the delay.
In English we were told that we had 1 hr in Chichen Itza so those of us that didn't speak Spanish sat in the parking lot for an 1 hr. I don't think it was intentional but sucked nonetheless as we were rushed and missed most of it. We also didn't do any of the activities they listed in Valladolid, sad as we were really looking forward to the church tour and dessert. We plan to do these both again next year but will go with a different company.
Breakfast box was included, but it was not given to us until 2.5 hours after we were onboard the coach. We were a group of 8 English speaking adults, the tour was supposed to be "English speaking", but the guide spoke less than 10 sentences in English for the whole day. Lunch was arranged at 3pm without any notice in advanced, or maybe not in English. The only instruction in English was given between visiting the 2 cenotes: "don't waste time to change clothes after the first cenote, we will go straight to the next". So the entire group boarded the freezing cold coach in wet swimsuit and dripping hair, turns out the ride was 45min. We requested to adjust the a/c but the guide refused in Spanish. This was the most terrible tour among the 5 we booked throughout our 2-week Mexico trip.
Tour was as described and well worth the entire day. Informative guide in both English and Spanish, and an excellent lunch buffet. Although stops were a little short, definitely enough time and was adequate. Get off the resort, get out and explore, don’t miss out.
The time allocated for the archeological park was way to little. Don't go with this tour. Everything was rushed. They give us a "meal" in an awful place, at a cenote where nobody wanted to go, in the middle of nowhere, on a almost distroied road, I thought the car will broke, anyway, awful experience. And the guide was mocking me because I tried to sleep the whole damn trip! It was actually nothing to see besides unfinished buildings or others left in ruins. Or endless jungle vegetation on the road to the damn cenote! Anyway, beware of this awful combination on this tour!
Overall the day was good with all places covered. No issues with the places covered. However, the guide was speaking most of the time in Spanish with some English words and sentences in between which really made it difficult to understand. If we had a guide who could explain better in English it would really have been helpful. With language exception, the tour was good covering great places with ample time.
Hello Adarshs, Thank you for sharing your feedback! We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the tour and had enough time to explore the great places included. We apologize if the language mix made it difficult at times; our guides provide explanations in both English and Spanish because it is a bilingual shared tour. We’ll take note of your comments to see how we can improve the experience for English-speaking guests in the future. We hope to welcome you again soon!
Chichén Itzá was fantastic as were the cenotas. We were not aware just how much time is spent on a bus with this trip. It is a huge day you leave your hotel at 7am and do not get back until 10pm The tequila tasting is nothing more than a tourist trap to try make you buy over priced tequila. The tour guides are very knowledgeable and taught us much about each place we visited. The seats in the bus are very small and when the person in front reclines the back of the seat it literally right in your face and if you are tall as I am you spend a very long day with your knees jammed into the seat and it gets very painful. All in all you manage to see a lot but is it worth the pain and long bus trip? I will leave that up to you to decide
Hello dear traveler, Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We’re delighted to know you enjoyed the visit to Chichén Itzá, the cenotes, and that our guides provided you with valuable insights throughout the day. As mentioned in the itinerary, this is a full-day tour that can take up to 15 hours, since it includes several must-see stops in one trip. Your feedback is very valuable to us, and we will continue working to improve. We’re glad you still took away memorable moments from this experience.
We enjoyed working with Eric at NexusTour to organize our Excursions. Love the amazing tour guides on our bus, Mario, Ricardo,Danielle. These are the best, we feel safe and comfortable being in their company. They did an amazing job. The bus driver Balam did a great getting us safe to and from. I recommend this company for any excursions.
Thank you so much for your kind words. We’re delighted to hear that our staff helped make your Chichen Itza adventure so enjoyable and that you felt safe and comfortable throughout the day. Your recommendation means a lot to us, and we’d love to welcome you again on your next visit to Mexico!
Extremely long day. The bus was comfortable and there was a restroom on board for emergencies. The breakfast provided was a ham and cheese sandwich and white bread a juice box an apple, and a protein bar. We were picked up at our hotel on time by a van shuttle that drove us about 45 minutes or so to another location. We waited outside of a minimart that did not have a restroom for approximately 45 more minutes until the bus arrived the swim in the Centote was absolutely amazing. It was beautiful you shower changing in the locker room, but there is absolutely nothing allowed around the exterior of the cenote. So you have to leave all of your belongings in the locker unless you have a waterproof phone case or you just plan on taking photos without getting into the water. We did jump into the water from a ledge and it was incredible. The stop before the first Cenote, was a town called Vallaloid. In my opinion, the stop was unnecessary. The town was just OK with nothing much to see. They charged a dollar to use the restroom and we waited there about an hour. The tour could have been more efficient if we skipped this stop. After this stop and the first Cenote, we made it to Chichén Itzá. It was incredible. It was also extremely hot, so be prepared by bringing sunscreen and a large hat. after Chchen Itza we headed to the second Cenote. In my opinion, this was unnecessary, although it was nice. It was nothing like the first Cenote The road we took to get there was incredibly bumpy and took about 45 minutes just to get there. At that time we arrived at a restaurant, we ate a decent meal which was included, and then we had the option to go into the Cenote or just wait underneath the dining room. The thought of getting wet again seemed like it would be a little uncomfortable so we decided to stay in the restaurant. It took us another 30 to 45 minutes to get out of that location and back on the road. We then headed back towards our hotel which took a couple of hours. So all in all, yes it was a 15 hour day that really could’ve been done in 12 hours or less.
Hello dear traveler, Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback! We’re thrilled to hear that you enjoyed the cenote swims and the visit to Chichén Itzá—it’s wonderful to know these highlights made your day memorable. As mentioned in the tour description, this full-day excursion can last up to 15 hours. Lockers are provided at the cenotes for your belongings, as these are natural areas without places to store personal items. The Valladolid stop and the second cenote are both included in the itinerary and are part of the experience. Regarding restroom fees, these are set by local providers and are not charged by our staff. We greatly appreciate your thoughtful comments and are glad that overall, you had a fantastic experience exploring the sites and enjoying the beautiful cenotes. We hope to welcome you again for another unforgettable adventure!
Spectacular senotes, I gave 4 stars because the tour takes more time picking up passengers then time actually spent at the senotes . Too much time spent picking up other tour passengers but the actual senotes experience it’s worth 5 plus stars
