Die Kirche St. Hripsime wurde auf dem Grab einer christlichen Nonne errichtet, die in Armenien das Christentum predigte und verbreitete.

Echmiadzin ist die erste christliche Kathedrale der Welt. Das Wort "Echmiadzin" bedeutet einen Ort, an dem "der eingeborene Sohn des Gottes herabgestiegen ist"
Eines der hellsten Wahrzeichen der armenischen Architektur im Mittelalter - der prächtige Zvartnots-Tempel wurde im 7. Jahrhundert erbaut.
Es ist der berühmteste Wallfahrtsort der Armenischen Apostolischen Kirche.

A very enjoyable tour. Our driver was Vazgen who was very friendly, courteous and a safe driver. He collected us on time and drove safely. Even though he wasn't our guide (only a driver), he provided us with lots of information on Armenia and the places we were visiting. Recommend!

Excellent tour. Artur was a very knowledgeable guide who organised the day very well and gave us a lot of information about the history and culture of Armenia. He and the driver took good care of us, even bringing the jacket we forgot in the car back to our hotel.
