Doka Coffee Tour, Poas Vulkan und La Paz Wasserfall Tagesausflug von San Jose from

Fantastic tour!!! Our guide was great, and a wealth of knowledge on Costa Rica and all the locations we visited. Doka coffee breakfast was good and the whole process of making coffee was very interesting. We got lucky and had great views of the volcano. We really enjoyed the La Paz waterfall and animal park and lunch was fantastic, Side note be prepared to walk up and down stairs a bit to get to the waterfall. A must-do tour from San Jose!!!!!

Tried contacting the tour operator the day before with no response, sent several messages trying to cancel due to a change in schedule. It was supposed to be 100% refund within 24 hours before the tour. My message didn’t post 3 AM the day of as it wouldn’t allow me to send a message to the tour operator until that time, and then they charged me 100% no-show rate. Avoid using this company.

We chose this all-day tour as the way to spend our last day in Costa Rica - it looked like the best way to get out of the city and explore the volcano and rainforest. Our guide, Max, and driver Carlos were exceptional at making our day fantastic! Despite the rains we carried on with much walking and climbing. It was a 12.5 hr excursion, be prepared to spend much time in the bus on winding mountain roads, soaking up the lush scenery.

Fantastic tour! Bilingual tour guide who was very good. The meals were delicious! Doka coffee farm was nice, and the volcano was cool, but my favorite was La Paz Waterfalls. Incredible! Highly recommend.

From the start to finish, this day out was a full on adventure. Our guide Max and driver Raol were fantastic! We visited the Doka coffee plantation and Max explained the process to us. We leant a lot but in a fun way. We bought some me coffee to take home. We visited the site of the Poas lake and volcano. We managed to see the lake but by the time we got back down to the volcano the cloud was too heavy so we did not see it. The Paz waterfall gardens and wildlife sanctuary was fantastic. We were able to get right up close with beautiful butterflies, and birds such as toucans, and pumas and jaguars who had been rescued. The tiny hummingbirds were amazing in the walk through gardens. Max was amazing and calm as he had to deal with an on board emergency. It was dealt with calmness and professionalism and he is a credit to your company. A fab day out and one we shall remember for a long time.

Excellent tour although legroom on bus is tight. Max was an amazing guide and Roy, our driver, navigated some serious traffic issues wonderfully. Breakfast was usual Costa Rican breakfast well prepared. Max knew everything about the coffee farming, guided us through Poas helping us know when the clouds would clear to view the crater. Amazing views. La Paz waterfall gardens were wonderful, buffet lunch, animals, and spectacular waterfalls. Definitely worth the price!

Martin was an amazing host because he translated the languages based on the audience (English & Spanish), he is so patient, he is fun , very knowledgeable and down to earth!!!! This tour was a “must do”! I absolutely loved it! It was so much fun, it was a great way to spend my birthday! Tips- BRING WATER, hiking boots, DURABLE RAIN COAT, and an umbrella!!!!

Excellent tour & great excursions for the price & food included. Tour guide Rachel was excellent and Roy the driver has mad driving skills. I was offered a private tour for more $ & less hours and NO FOOD! Must do excursion when in San Jose or for me I was in Alajuela at La Guaria hotel

The tour of volcano Poás and waterfalls was amazing. Experiencing the volcano up close was very impressive. Tour guide was very informative.

Loved the animals and scenery at the waterfall, lunch was delicious! Coffee tour was so informative. Everyone was very helpful. Only downside was being told it ended at a certain time and hot dropped off almost 3 hours later making us miss leaving to our next destination and having to book another night at our current hotel.
