Reiseverlauf
Erster Halt am „Castello di Donnafugata“, in dem sich der örtliche Chef Don Balduccio Sinagra befindet.
Wir fahren weiter nach Punta Secca (Marinella in der Fiktion), um von außen das House of Montalbano und den nahe gelegenen Sandstrand zu besuchen, an dem er schwimmt.
Wir fahren weiter nach Donnalucata, wo meistens die Episode "die Form des Wassers" festgelegt ist. In der Tat ist die Promenade von Donnalucata, die in der Fiktion Marinella genannt wird, das Hauptszenario dieser Episode. Es wird jedoch oft in vielen anderen Episoden von The Inspector Montalbano verwendet.
Danach erreichen wir das Barockdorf Scicli. Ein kurzer Spaziergang führt Sie durch das schöne historische Zentrum von Baroue (Montelusa in der Fiktion), den "Palazzo Comunale" (das Rathaus), den Vigatas Polizeistation in der Fiktion, und den "Palazzo Iacono", den Polizeipräsidium.
Wir fahren weiter nach Modica, dessen historisches Zentrum ebenfalls im Barockstil ist. Die wunderschöne Treppe der Saint George's Cathedral war der Protagonist der Episode "Tocco d'artista". Die schöne Aussicht über die Stadt, die Kirchen und Paläste im Barockstil und die charakteristischen Gassen bilden die Kulisse für viele andere Szenen der Fiktion. Ein obligatorischer Halt am Ende der Besichtigung der Altstadt ist die Antica Cioccolateria Bonajuto, wo Sie die berühmte und köstliche Modica-Schokolade in ihren zahlreichen Düften probieren können.
Am Ende besuchen wir die wunderschöne Piazza Duomo von Ragusa Ibla mit ihrer barocken Kirche San Giorgio, die den Hauptplatz von Vigata, das imaginäre Dorf Montalbano, darstellt. Der Blick auf Ibla mit der Kuppel der beleuchteten Kathedrale erscheint hinter Montalbano in der Episode Ein Lichtblitz, als der Commissioner, Gast des Emittenten von Vigata Rete Libera, ein Interview gibt. Die Kathedrale von San Giorgio und der Platz von Ragusa Ibla kehren in vielen Episoden der Fernsehserie zurück. Immer wenn der Kommissar auf dem zentralen Platz oder in der Kirche Madre di Vigata Halt macht, bewundern wir den prächtigen Barockstil von Ragusa Ibla, seinen Platz und den Dom. Die Kirche von Santa Maria delle Scale, die Treppe und das herrliche Panorama von Ragusa Ibla bilden die Kulisse für einen Räuber in der Episode "Gatto e Cardellino". Der Circolo di Conversazione mit Blick auf die Piazza Duomo ist der Ort, an dem Montalbano häufig die Cabbasisi bricht, um Spielkarten von Pasquano zu behandeln. Viele Szenen werden innerhalb und außerhalb des Circle gedreht. In der Episode "La luna di carta" betritt der Kommissar die rauchigen Räume des Clubs, zwischen Spielern und Vigatas, die sich mit Spielkarten beschäftigen, und trifft den verärgerten Pasquano, der mit gefälschter Höflichkeit und ironischen Witzen Montalbanos Fragen beantwortet. Das Giardino Ibleo befindet sich nicht weit vom Restaurant da Calogero entfernt. In Vigata wird der städtische Garten zu einem eleganten Pflegeheim, in dem Montalbano in die Folge La luna di carta geht. Auf den von Bäumen gesäumten Gartenwegen trifft der Kommissar einen alten Dieb, der einen Schlüssel zeigt, um herauszufinden, was er öffnen kann.

We had a wonderful, enjoyable Montalbano tour with our guide, Giuseppe with Taxi Catania NCC. He was an excellent driver and knowledgeable about Montalbano filming destinations and each location! Now we will be able to revisit these beautiful destinations again as a memory and see them again on TV Montalbano! Thank you!

Excellent tour. Anyone that enjoyed the Montalbano television series should take this tour. Ricardo was friendly, polite, and fluent in English, in addition to being extremely knowledgeable about the places where the series was filmed.
Ricardo was an excellent knowledgable guide, couldn’t have been more helpful and considerate This trip is a must do for all Inspector Montalbano fans , the highlight being able to visit the actual film sets that are still in Scicli town hall which doubled as the police station

Excursions Sicily, private tour with Eduardo was fabulous. nothing was too much trouble. We didn't (as expected) take just external photographs of the police station and mafia boss' house, we went inside them for only 6 euros each! Outside Insp. Montalbano's house( and Enzo's restaurant) was fabulous and relatively quiet, a stroll on 'the' beach was most welcome. We visited Modica en route and sampled and bought some beautiful chocolate there. Well worth the visit. The car was immaculate and Eduardo's driving was fist class.
This was the most brilliant experience and a wonderful way to celebrate my birthday with my friends. Riccardo and Annalisa were the most thoughtful, attentive, interesting and informative guides and made sure we saw Montalbano’s house, ate at his table in the restaurant at Punta Secca and toured the police station in Scicli-even getting photos in his office ! It was so much more than we could’ve wished for and I highly recommend the trip. Not only did we see more of the Sicily but we learned so much about it too! Emblematic places of a cult series such as El Coimisario Montalbano. Too bad I was closing (apparently definitely) the restaurant Enzo a Mare location next door a few meters from the house, which is where Salvo used to have lunch with a good wine. Mur near there is Scili where the commissioner is.-
Our private taxi journey of more than 9 hours took us around all the major locations used in the TV series. Our driver Ricardo, was very knowledgeable both of the TV series and Sicilian life. In our journey we touched upon about every subject of modern Sicily as well as the history with Greek, Roman and Arab heritage. This tour is not just a change to experience the sets and locations used in the 1990s series, it's a chance to see inside Sicilian life. We thoroughly recommend it.
