The boat ride around Lake Como was beautiful. However, there was no narration so we had no idea what we were looking at. There were mansions and villas, but we don’t know what they were so in my opinion it wasn’t really a tour. It was a boat ride. It was beautiful to be on the lake.
Ask where the QR code is located. This was not clear. Beautiful lake and surrounding towns. Boat was clean.

Unfortunately feel deceived by this listing. The picture shows a small wooden boat which seemed like it would be shared with 6-8 other people. In reality, this is more like a ferry sized boat that could fit 50+. We booked this for our honeymoon thinking we were getting an intimate experience. The boat was nice enough but feels dishonest, there is nothing showing a ferry boat in the photos and the advertised wooden boat is very misleading. The audio self guided “tour” is essentially a 1 minute explanation (on your phone) at each villa with nothing in between. Wouldn’t recommend unless you know what you’re in for and okay with that.
We waited in sweltering heat, but the boat did not come. When it did arrive, it could not dock because it has to use the public pier and that was apparently full. A person who was also waiting then called, and we received the message that the boat would be back in 15 minutes. After another 30 minutes, we called again. They wanted to contact the captain and check in. The tour was then canceled via WhatsApp. But only to the person who had also called. We are still waiting, 90 minutes later, for a cancellation. Now it means chasing after one's money. An hour later, we saw the boat dock in Menaggio after all. It was apparently possible after all. A ruined morning. Too bad. This company is not recommended. Their communication is abysmal.
Fine boat trip of about 1.5 hours from Bellagio to Varenna, and from there around part of the lake. Pickup was punctual at the agreed time, with pre-ordered tickets no trouble at all. At the village of Varenna people are still crammed onto the boat, so make sure you have a nice spot. Exactly when we thought we had seen it we headed back to the coast, so was a perfect round for us.

I booked this tour through GetYourGuide, but the review is directly with the local Bellagio Boat Prescriber, who runs the Service. Unfortunately, the experience was not satisfactory. You can follow an audio guide via a QR code, but in practice the experience was confusing and poorly cared for. No map or clear indication of the stops on the tour is provided: you never really know where you are or which villa you are looking at. This makes it difficult to follow the audio guide consistently and fully enjoy the ride. In addition, the tour did not entirely follow the planned route: after Villa del Balbianello, the boat turned back, skipping other villas indicated in the guide, such as Villa Balbiano. I expected a more fluid and immersive experience.
In living room in Bellagio you have to take a ride on the lake! And this boat is large, comfortable and spacious, with both outdoor (sun!) and Covered berths. There are 2 toilets and the bar (very expensive!!). It is not true that you have to book online, you can do it at the desk by paying by card. The tour should last 90 minutes (70 on weekends) but ours lasted 70 even on Monday... A handy app describes the various villas. Bring your earphones! To be done. Fair price.
