My tour started of great with my pick up that was set up thru Viator from Hilton Rosehall Resort. This was my 2nd time on the bamboo rafting. My two sisters accompanied me this time, one of my sister's is visually impaired the staff at the rafting was very helpful and patient. Our two rafting guys were Rick and Ricky they both were awesome. I'll definitely be coming back for a 3rd time. Thank you.
we booked the water rafting at our hotel (secrets wild orchid montego bay). 209 dollars for two people. The trip starts at 9:05am where a shuttle bus picks you up from your hotel and takes you to Chukka which is the activity centre where they do water rafting, horse riding and other activities. The 9:05am bus was late by 25 minutes but we didn't mind. Once we checked in at chukka we got on a coach to take us to the destination. It took around 35 minutes. The water rafting was wonderful. You got a choice of red stripe or champagne to drink whilst you were on the raft. You get a limestone foot scrub and massage by your tour guide. It's very relaxing but also very fun with music playing and people having the best time. Food and drink stalls are also available on the water. For an extra cost you can get a full body massage. One negative point I will make is it can feel a little awkward from time to time, as you felt like you had to always talk to the tour guide even though you just wanted to relax. This might just be us but it definitely felt a little tense at times. The trip is around 1 hour. You take a bamboo straw away with you as a little souvenir. A great experience and nice to get out of the hotel.
Learning about the history and the ride was great. Please try it. The staff work hard and they do it for us. Make sure you let them know how much you enjoyed yourself.
Excellent experience ! Our guide Kevin was down to earth and gave us a real deep dive into jamaican history and culture. He made us feel safe & at home. When booking ask for kevin!
Blake was absolutely incredible. It was everything I hoped it would be and more! I went early in the morning and had the river to ourselves. Blake our captain was so kind and informative. Would definitely recommend!
Hi Kelly, Thank you for taking the time to write such a great review. Your praises have been passed to Blake and we are very happy that you enjoyed your experience with us.
Jerome was very knowledgeable about the plants and history and also went above and beyond getting fresh coconus... Would highly recommend
We rely had fun and relaxing time on the rafting. We had a great whether and few cold beers. This activity compare to others was the most relaxing one! The only part that was a bit annoying was the 'Raf captain' whom was complaining how little money he has and after trying to sell us stuff and get tips. But that is the vibe you get on the Jamaica all the time!
