It’s way too long for kids under 15 and elderly people

Where do I start? This tour is too long for kids and adults that have no patience. It was nice to see the ruins like chichen itza, the ruins in Cobá. It’s too long to walk around in chichen itza, especially when your tour guide speaks more on Spanish and not so much in English. So we hardly understood what he is telling us about the history of the park. Standing there under the heat of the sun without understanding the word he is saying. We felt like going off on our own and moving on to the next ruin. The 2nd stop, Coba was nice because we get to ride the tricycle taxi and we do not have to walk around too much under the heat of the sun. It’s 180 pesos for round trip tricycle ride. We did not climb the Coba pyramid as it’s very steep and we’re already exhausted from the Chitchen itza tour. We just took pictures. The 3rd stop was very boring, the cenote doesn’t look good, we didn’t swim because it looks dirty, the facilities are dirty like the restrooms. The food was pretty good and the blessings by the shaman is also nice. The 4th stop was in playa del Carmen, it’s a nice town on 5th Avenue where you can see some shops and restaurants. Otherwise, 3 out of 5 because a little too long, the tour guide didn’t speak English, he spokes Spanish a lot that we couldn’t understand what he was saying. The lunch was okay, they gave us 3 sandwiches, bottled waters, they have pop but they have a 1 litre of pop that they need to pour to another small bottle. They have beer but we do not drink beer. Otherwise, it’s an okay tour. The tour guide just need to speak more English. Not for kids under 15 yrs old or old people/ adults that don’t have any patience.

Great family tour!

Pickup and check in was on time and prompt. The whole team (Seferino, Pablo, Augustine - sorry for any misspelling) were AMAZING. They did role call at every meeting point and at the bus to make sure everyone was on board, and even waited for late incomers twice. It was an incredibly hot day, and Augustine provided us with some needed cold water to cool down. I would definitely book again for a family tour! Just a tip, make sure you always have enough cash on you to make the trip a little easier.

Go For It, Great Experience

Our tour experience was amazing and in my opinion, a great value for the price. Day was long, as advertised. They picked us up promptly and as scheduled at 7:15 am and we got back after 8 pm. In my opinion, the pacing was good, but again long. First Tulum, for about an hour and a half, which was very hot. Then Coba for about an hour, cenote (very fun and refreshing —there were turtles and fishes) with typical buffet lunch and Playa del Carmen at the end (which felt a little rushed). We really enjoyed both, our driver, Gerardo, and tour guide, Zeferino. They seem to work well together. Zeferino was informative, passionate, and funny. He had a white board which he used throughout the day to cover info/historical facts, etc. The tour was small which I like and prefer. I would suggest to bring lots of drinks/water (cheaper than buying on site) and snacks for the morning portion. Lunch is on the later side, but in my opinion very good. While at Coba take the bicycle taxi, unique and efficient. Lunch was a buffet with both pork and chicken dishes typical from Yucatan, fresh and delicious. They had home made drinks on site, one which was like grape juice and horcheta, worth trying! Lastly, bring lots of sunblock, good walking shoes, and a hat!

Personal driver for Cancun Tours.

As a parent and a spouse, the most stressful thing is trying to plan a tour. If you are trying to decide between the tour bus or a personal driver, I strongly recommend using a personal driver. Gabriel is your man! He picked us up at 530 in the morning so we could beat the crowd at Chichén Itzá. During the ride to Chichén Itzá, he was very informative, telling us about the history and culture of each city we passed. Plus he recommended an amazing tour guide for Chichén Itzá. After Chichén Itzá we stopped for some traditional Cochinita Pibil. 🔥 Then we stopped to see some more Mayan ruins. Last, he took us to multiple Cenotes which were breathtaking. He was excited to take us to each place, there wasn’t a moment where he seemed annoyed or rushing us. Gabriel helped make that tour pleasant and easy. Thank you !!
