Træn Katana med ægte Dojo-studerende i Kyoto

I can highly recommend this for anyone who has previous experience with martial arts. I have experience with different styles of martial arts, but limited experience with a katana and I had a great time! Everything was professionally arranged, a native English speaking student who also speaks Japanese helps you out as interpreter, and will also patiently help you with everyting during the training. We walked katas, did sparring forms, and I got to cut a tatami mat, which was truly awesome. Everyone was super patient and helpful with me and with help I managed to follow most of the training. Overall it was a great introduction to the style!

Wonderful introduction/refresher to iaido. Yushin Sensei and Jordan were very patient in explaining and showing all the different kata. The cutting part was a whole other level of experience. Would love to go back again. Thank you all at the dojo for having me in their class

I enjoyed my experience very much! Although, the training very challenging because I was unfamiliar with their style even with 8 years’ experience in iaido (Musoshinden riu- style) and the tight space made it all the more sweat inducing for someone tall like me. Still, everyone was very patient and kind. I loved the cutting of the tatami mats even though I wasn't great at it. If you're looking for a challenge and culturally signifficant experience, I'd highly recommend this experience. Prior knowledge of budo and iaido is definitely recommended before coming.
