Had an awesome time making chopsticks with my teen son today. Perfect rainy day experience in Kyoto! He picked the hardest wood (Purple Heart) which was VERY difficult to carve, seriously the strength required was no joke! Our guide Kengo was so helpful and patient throughout. I picked the cherry wood and that was way easier. Both chopsticks turned out amazing! Highly recommend this experience!
