Miraflores Lås er et af de bedste steder at forstå, hvordan Panama-kanalen fungerer. På Stillehavets side kan besøgende se skibe løftes eller sænkes gennem det oprindelige låsesystem ved hjælp af ferskvand fra Gatun Lake og tyngdekraften alene. Fra observationstæpperne ser gæsterne skibe passere kun meter væk, mens de lærer om kanaloperationer gennem udstillinger. Very knowledgeable guide. The IMAX movie is great. Up close view of the ships going through the canal.
Perfectly planned to see big ships and the lock process. Rafael is an extremely knowledgeable, friendly and excellent guide. He provides a lot of details about the canal and Panama.
Our driver Saul was a loverly guy and very informative. He made sure we knew where he would be at the end and didn’t rush us. We saw 3 ships into the locks and watched 2 of them leave the lock.
was a great experience! Our Tour Guide Raphael was very good! He was polite professional ..well informed and went the extra mile to stop to show us a sloth with added info after the tour. My only issue was that VIator needs to advertise the full price ..not the "TRANSPORT" only ..it is missleading as we still had to pay at the entity for entrance!
They picked us up at the indicated time. The guide Saul was very kind. During the trip, he was explaining everything to us. He accompanied us to get the tickets and then to see the canal.
Great tour! So many tours feel the need to pack in too many activities, which leave me feeling overwhelmed. I took this tour because I wanted to see the canal, and that’s exactly what we did. Saul is an excellent guide. He gave an interesting narrative on the way to the canal, threw in a bit of local history, and told us what to expect once we arrived at the canal. He thoughtfully sent me an advance link so I could skip the ticket queue. Once at the canal, he checked in with me twice, making sure all was well and updated me on the ships we were seeing. Afterward, he drove us back to our respective pickup locations. BTW, he is an excellent driver. An excellent way to spend the afternoon
We actually booked this on our own directly at the location. Lots and lots of history, we were fortunate enough to arrive as a cargo ship was coming through. It was amazing to see the gates open and the water level drop. The IMAX theater with Morgan Freeman‘s voice also added a very historical touch we learned a lot from watching the movie. I say it was worth it.
This tour greatly added to my experience of visiting the canal. We arrived at a perfect time to see ships going through, were guided through lines and security, and told the best lookout points. The timing for the ships and IMAX was excellent. Plus we learned more about the canal on the drive in both directions. I am so glad I chose this tour as my way to visit.

Panama Canal tour and IMAX should not be missed. Fascinating marvel of engineering! The facility is beautiful and modern.
