Jeg er Catia din vært, sammen vil vi gå for at opdage venetiansk traditionel mad gennem mine familieopskrifter og dens historie. Vi vil besøge vores historiske marked, et af de ældste i Europa, jeg vil fortælle dig historien om markedet, og du vil se de farverige boder fulde af frugter og grøntsager end krydderier. Derefter vil vi gå til mit hus, og vi vil lave pasta fra bunden...den typiske "Bigoli" lavet med en gammel presse (den slags presse blev opfundet i 1600 og den hedder "Bigolaro") ... du vil godt komme med vores Cicchetti, en venetiansk forret, og til sidst vil du lave vores velkendte dessert opfundet i min region...Tiramisù!

Katia was amazing, she made my 13 yr old daughter feel right at home as we made a proper Italian grandmother kind of meal! Don’t eat before nor after!
Catia is an amazing cook and teacher. I went to her with my two daughter and we had a great experience. We were able to learn many recipes. She allows you to make everything yourself. Every plate was incredible. There was enough variety. She also showed us her garden and let us pick up some of the vegetables for our own food. Catia is an amazing person. She goes above and beyond. We totally recommend going to her. You won’t regret it!
Catia was spectacular! Her knowledge of the city was impressive!! Her cooking skills were outstanding! As a solo traveler, she made me feel so welcomed in her beautiful home. I could not imagine returning to Italy without seeing her again. Grazie Millie, Catia!!
An absolutely wonderful experience! Catia is extremely friendly, welcoming, and excited to share her recipes and expertise. She is a very patient teacher and the food is excellent. We made two pastas and a dessert, while Catia had prepared some appetizers that we also cooked (and ate paired with a local Cab Franc). She emphasizes homegrown/local products and uses seasonal recipes. We had a very pleasant walk around the city center to pick up some supplies and Catia shared history on the landmarks, best places to eat & drink, etc. if I were back in the city, I would not hesitate to sign up again!
Highly recommend this for solo travelers! Catia is incredibly knowledgable about the history of Padua and the local foods that make up the region. Furthermore, the cooking class was so much fun! Catia is an amazing host and a great teacher when it comes to making pasta from scratch. I would only recommend her to anyone who asks. This goes without saying but the food was absolutely amazing!
I don’t have enough words to describe how wonderful our cooking experience was today. We began by walking through the piazza, where Catia gave us a brief but lovely overview of Padova’s history while selecting fresh local produce for our meal. She then drove us to her home, which was absolutely charming, warm, and inviting. We learned how to make different types of pasta from scratch, along with tiramisu. While the dough was resting, we enjoyed wine and delicious homemade appetizers. What we thought would be a simple cooking class turned into an incredible five-course meal. The entire experience felt so personal and genuine, almost as if we were family being welcomed into her home to cook and share a meal together. Thank you, Catia, for making our visit to Padova such a memorable and unforgettable experience!
This was the by far the best cooking class of my entire life. Catia was the most amicable and passionate instructor. It felt like a family member was teaching me! She was so inviting and made sure that we had everything we needed to feel at home (including the wine refills). 100/10 would recommend for anyone looking for a memorable experience in Padova!

We had an amazing time with Catia learning about Padova and Italian cuisine. Catia is very welcoming and a great and patient teacher. The experience started with a lovely tour of the market and some selected places of the city centre. At Catia´s home we were served a tasty aperitivo and had great fun learning how to make several types of pasta and tiramisu. Catia is deeply passionate about food and tailors the experience with seasonal dishes. Highly recommended this experience.
A truly unique experience, from a tour around the city centre of Padua, to exploring the markets and then a very fun cooking class with Catia, this was truly a great day! We got to make some very yummy dishes with locally sourced ingredients to make seasonal dishes! Catia is very warm and welcoming we definitely recommend this experience!
