This was a great experience, a different way to see Panama City. Traffic is gridlocked and walking is slow - and both - but on the bike you can see a lot of different parts of the city in a nice couple of hours. Davide was a really friendly, helpful and knowledgeable guide and I learned a lot about Panama and its history and culture. He also knew when to stop for a drinks break! I really appreciated that he still ran the tour even though I was the only person booked - and my booking was last minute as another company cancelled on me.
We had a good time on this tour. David was very knowledgeable about the history of Panama. The only negative thing is trying to find the meeting point at the Sands Apartments. It would be nice to see a sign of some sort to indicate that you are in the right place. Otherwise it's a great way to orient yourself to the city which covers more distance than you can do walking.
What a great 10km 2 +hr tour of Panama along cintra costera into Caso Viehjo. Our guide was very knowledgeable of Panama and very accommodating with a couple of people that weren’t feeling well . What we did in 2hrs would have taken us 6hrs walking. This is a very easy ride along flat paths with the exception of one overpass over avenue Balboa. Keep in mind and can get hot and windy . You stop at 6 spots along the way .
Excellent way to explore the city. Highly recommend! Our family of four enjoyed seeing the historic area and riding through beautiful scenery.
The bike tour was a nice 10km distance covering many areas. Guide was very knowledgeable. I would recommend the route and guide as a great way to see old Panama City. Cons: -The bike path coming back was packed with people. Made it very difficult to navigate safely on a bike. - I think my biggest frustration was that I had a flat tire and the guide had zero spare tubes or tools to fix the tire. My tire failed 6 blocks from an alternative bike store so we were able to swap out bikes after a 20min walk but if it happened at other areas of the tour we would have been stranded. - bikes could use TLC in general.
No one showed up, so the communication could have been better. But agreed to refund. Therefore, this review reflects service rather than bike tour.
Quite a nice trip, had one day off and took the opportunity to see something at least. David is very enthousiastic, knows quite some history about this region and brings the story very well.
David was very knowledgable and personable. The 10 km ride is great and you make several stops along the way. Meeting place was easy and our tour was about 2.5 hours in total. We recommend this tour based on David's knowledge base alone and it is a great way to see Panama City and it's old town!
This was a fun way to see a big swath of the city. Our guide knew a lot about the history and local spots, and we stayed off too-busy or dangerous roads for most of it, which made the ride enjoyable and comfortable. We covered a lot of ground — I think about 7 miles — but it wasn’t overly strenuous since much of it was flat. We got to make several interesting stops, which added nice variety to the ride. Two things to improve: • The pickup (meeting) spot was a little confusing; clearer directions or a map/image would help. • They should include water and helmets (or at least offer them) — we missed having those. Overall: solid tour, good balance of sightseeing + cycling. If you’re comfortable with moderate distance biking and want to explore Panama City in a different way, this is a good choice.
David was so kind, helpful, and full of information about Panama. We took breaks when needed and he explained the history of Panama at each stop. We would definitely do this again.
