St. George's Monastery of St. Nino, även kallad Bodbe-klostret, är en av de viktigaste religiösa platserna i Kakheti-regionen. Nu finns det ett nunnverk där klostret brukade vara tillsammans med St. George-katedralen, en del av klostret, som innehåller resterna av St. Nino, som förde kristendomen till Georgien.
Staden har 1200-talsmuren. Väggen har 21 torn, som alla namnges för byn eller staden i slutet av vägen som passerar genom varje grind. Den lilla delen är tillgänglig för promenader och utsikt över Alazani Valley.
I staden själv kommer vi att besöka Signagi-museet, som visar Niko Pirosmanis verk. Niko Pirosmani är berömd georgisk målare, han föddes i byn nära Signagi. Vi tar också en promenad på de vackra gatorna i Gamla stan.
I slutet av resan besöker vi vingård och smakar 10 sorta vin

We booked this private tour through Temo - a representative of “ Holiday.me “ We were picked up at 10am and reached the Bodbe monastery after nearly 2 hours.The view from the monastery is nice but the monastery is under renovation. Later we drove to see the 18th century defence wall and tower. We then drove to Signagi the city of love having nice architecture and 18th century houses. Our driver and guide, Shoto did not provide us any information on the tour, Signagi city or the Museum. We drove to Kakheti to visi a wine storage and bottling plant. Temo had agreed to show the wine making process in this tour which we found later that it could be seen only in autumn. Therefore, we just had degustation which we could have experienced in Tbilisi instead of traveling so long!!! During this visit we were given no explanation on the history and Culture of Georgia relevant to these places.
Going to Kakheti is an extraordinary journey. We made the transfer in our own car. I can recommend this car as a great means of transportation for tourists.You can take advantage of this offer. We visited Tsinandali- estate of Ilya Chavchavadze. It's a fabulous place. To be there is to take with you extraordinary experiences.Next visited Bodbe and Signaki. In Signaki, the Nico Pirosmani Museum. The journey was beautiful. And back to Tbilisi they returned in a comfortable car, with wonderful experiences.
