6/1/26 DO NOT TAKE THIS TOUR!!!!! It is a SCAM. The tour indicates 6hrs. The guide is with you for the first 30 minutes on a boat that takes you to Murano island, and then he dropped us off at Murano and vanished. After the Murano visit, which was all done by ourselves, we headed back to the boat, where he took us back to the main island to board a gondola. Again, this was a 30 minute trip. The guide does not get on the Gondola with you. The Gondola ride was 30 minutes. As we existed the Gondola, our guide came to us and thanked us and said “have a nice day”. We were stunned and said, what about the rest of our tour? He said that was not his job and it belonged to someone else. So in total, the guide was with us for 60 minutes. We reached out to the provider who indicated that the time spent on the gondola and Murano island (even though the guide was not present) is counted. So what the heck do we need the guide for? We paid $1400 to guide ourselves. After going back and forth with this scam of a tour company, we said we would take it up with our credit card company, considering they refused to compensate for the lack of a proper tour. On top of that, we were charged $200 for the gondola, only to find out that is only cost $95. All this wicked company kept saying to me as a response was; “well you agreed to our terms.” We live the US and booked from there. How are we supposed to know the tour guide is not with you for 6hrs as advertised. AVOID AT ALL COST! SCAM!!!!
Excellent day trip. Guide was very knowledgeable and planned around our interests and time constraints.
