Valletta City of the Knights 3,5-timmars vandringstur

Beskrivning

Did the walking tour today. Overall, brilliant few hours. Coach picked us up on time and we were in Valletta by 09:30. Elizabeth our guide was great - very knowledgeable, funny and kept both the information and walking at a pace suitable for everyone of the 20+ in our group. The only negative came right at the end of the day upon leaving the Malta Experience Film. Once the film finished, many people including my own wife and 2 children, queued to use the toilets prior to leaving for the bus journey home and arrived at the bus maybe 5-10 mins after the bulk of the group. The lady in charge of the bus was very irate because of this and proceeded to lecture everyone on the bus over a microphone - as if we were schoolchildren, about the fact that people had in her opinion, taken far too long to return to the bus and that we should already be on our way. She was quoting people arriving 30 mins after the end of the film - it finished at 13:50, we were underway by 14:08. When one of the passengers replied that we had not been informed of a leaving time - which we genuinely hadn't, she basically got into an argument with him saying that he was lying, that people had been shopping and that if he continued he would be asked to leave the bus. When we all left the bus she did not apologise to the gentleman and continued to insist that it was he who had been rude. She also refused to share her name or show her name badge so that he could complain. Overall she was very rude and extremely unprofessional. For the transport, the tour and the guide it's a 5, for the rude lady in charge of the bus transfer back to the db San Antonio on 25/5/26 it's a 1 at best. SMS if you're reading this, she needs to go on a customer relations course.
Good afternoon, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are very pleased to hear that you enjoyed the tour, transport, and guide overall, and we truly appreciate your positive comments in this regard. At the same time, we are sincerely sorry to learn about the unpleasant experience you encountered during the return transfer following the Malta Experience Film. Please accept our sincere apologies. We understand how important clear communication and professional customer service are, especially during organised excursions. We genuinely value constructive feedback such as yours, as it helps us improve the experience we provide to all our guests. Thank you once again for bringing this matter to our attention, and we hope that despite this incident, you returned home with many positive memories of your day.
Our guide, Helenia, was excellent, but some negative aspects were out of her control. The St John's Co-Cathedral headphones kept cutting off the audio for all our group of 3, and I suspect they all did the same for everyone. The Malta Experience was hot and airless with no aircon. The film started 10 minutes late, and a lot of people started to drift off to sleep before the end due to the heat and stuffiness. My headphones kept cracking. I changed seat to use some others but they did not work at all. My husband gave me his working ones and had my cracking set. Because it was dark you couldn’t see what you were doing when messing about with faulty headphones.
Good morning, Thank you for your feedback. We will reach out to the relevant sites and share your comments to help prevent similar disappointments in the future.
The tour guide was extremely unorganized. She had trouble getting in touch with the bus driver. Our tour started about 45 minutes late.
We are sorry to hear that you did not enjoy the tour and that it was rushed. We will be investigating further to make sure that this will not happen again.
Very fast paced- and not enough adaptation to weather conditions. Guide was very knowledgeable but she did not adapt at all to the extremely hot weather
Dear Ms. Jane, We are sorry to hear that you did not enjoy the tour and that it was rushed. We will be investigating further to make sure that this will not happen again.
Very poor because it was late departing. The guide had no audio assistance and unless you were standing right next to her you could not hear what she was saying. People complained but there was nothing she could do at that tme
Good Afternoon Michael We are sorry about the above and we will be seeing to this so it will not happen again.
The walking tour was fantastic, not strenuous at all. We had a very knowledgeable tour guide who spoke English. She knew a lot of the history of Valletta. Learning about Malta, and seeing St John's Cathedral was so impressive. They have someone pick you up from your hotel and drop you off. I highly recommend staying after the tour for shopping, music, and food take a cab back. Beautiful place. Worth the money.
Dear Donna_F Thank you for your positive feedback and hope that you will visit again Malta and join another one of our excursions
Well organized, very interesting with a guide perfectly bilingual and who knows the history of his country at his fingertips
Good Morning LucccS, Thanks for your positive review and it was our honor to have you on one of our tours. Hope that you will visit our island again and join another one of our tour.
The magical place to visit is St John's Cathedral, a real beauty. The city of Valletta is full of small streets with a lot of charm.
Good Morning Eric V, We are ver glad that you have enjoyed our beautiful city Valletta with all its history that it can offer. Hope that when you will visit our island again you would be able to join one of our tours again.
Jennifer was an excellent guide and it was a beautiful and well-paced tour in the sunshine showing us the delights of Valletta. A time change, 2 languages rather than just English and replacement in the itinerary - all different to the trip advertised gives this 4 rather than 5 stars
The tour guide (I think her name was Janine?) was knowledgeable and friendly, I think she did a good job and I can recommend her. What was not optimal: - The tour was advertised as containing entry fees to the grandmaster's palace, but we didn't go there. Instead we went to see a "5D" movie about Malta (~15 minutes). - Meeting time was preponed within 24 hours prior to the tour by more than one hour (no problem with that) but then we had to wait for 15 to 20 minutes until someone showed up - There was an unnecessary transport shared with other groups at the beginning from the communicated meeting point to another one. We could have went to the final meeting point on our own if it had been communicated upfront. Apart from that the group size was ok albeit a little big (I think about 27 persons). In crowded places it was sometimes hard to understand the guide - as an improvement I would recommend to provide headsets to the attendees and for the guide to use a microphone. That way the guide can even speak while walking in front and leading the group through the streets. Nevertheless I enjoyed the tour!
