Den första synen på turnén är Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, som verkligen är ett mästerverk av världsarkitekturen. Det tog 6 år att bygga upp det och 2001 öppnades det framgångsrikt. Denna moské är en traditionell lätt islamisk byggnad gjord av sandsten och marmor. Den har 5 minareter - en huvud- och 4-sidiga minareter som skapar ett särskilt distinkt utseende. Den interna designen är rik på mosaik, stora handgjorda persiska mattor och ljuskronor dekorerad med kristaller.

Det är en idealisk plats om du vill titta på det vanliga livet i Oman. Bara gå längs raderna, leta efter objekten, fynd och ha kul som här kan du hitta allt som börjar med kryddor som slutar traditionella mattor, vaser eller bara souvenirer.
Residens Sultan Qaboos. Från båda sidor omger palmen palatset, så du kommer sannolikt att njuta av det magnifika landskapet. Beläget mitt i staden lockar det alltid många besökare, och även om människor inte får gå in, kan de enkelt gå och ta svala bilder.
Bait Al Zubair är en kulturstiftelse som initialt startade med ett privat museum som öppnade sina snidade trädörrar för allmänheten 1998. Det finansieras av dess grundare, familjen Zubair. År 2005 etablerade familjen Bait Al Zubair Foundation som den kulturella och sociala delen av det familjeägda företaget The Zubair Corporation. Stiftelsen förvaltar kulturrummet och utvecklar projekt som rör kultur och arv, konst, samhälle, historia och förlag. Bait al Zubair visar upp familjens samling av omanska artefakter som sträcker sig över ett antal århundraden och anses vara den finaste som är privatägd. Dess etnografiska artefakter återspeglar högt specialiserade ärvda färdigheter som definierar Omans samhälle, både förr och nu. Det är en av landets arkitektoniska ikoner och var 1999 den stolta mottagaren av His Majesty Sultan Qaboos’ Award for Architectural Excellence, första gången den delades ut i Oman.

We had an amazing tour discovering Muscat. The beautiful Opera House, Mutrah Fort, Museum and Palace, and the incredible Muscat Mosque. It has to be seen to be believed. Our tour guide Mahmoud was so informative, and gave us a wonderful introduction to the history of Muscat. Mahmoud is an exceptional guide. A great ambassador for his country. We enjoyed this tour very much.

Mohammed Aldighaishi was the guide for our group and did a great job, his great personality lifted the tour to another level. He also gave advice on fair prices for the stop at the souk. Very excitingly designed, Mohammed Aldighaishi speaks perfect English, is super friendly and responsive to all concerns. I would book the tour with him again immediately. My wife was thrilled too.

This tour was very well managed by the lovely Mohammed Aldighaishi who was friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming. It was wonderful to get to know more about Omani culture and traditions and how better to do that than through an native Omani?! The tour highlight was the Grand Mosque for me which was truly spectacular. We had a lovely tour group from different parts of the world - we all got on well.
