Vi välkomnar dig till vårt hem med öppna armar! Omedelbart kommer du att känna dig som en del av vår familj och våra traditioner. Vi börjar vårt välkomnande, på samma sätt som min abuela gjorde med mig, med varm choklad och panna. Jag älskar att dela mina berättelser och traditioner i min kultur med dig. Klasserna kan vara på spanska eller engelska. Vår klass kommer att äga rum i vårt vackra utekök, som ligger på vår terrass. Du kommer att lära dig att laga mat och laga mat i ett traditionellt Oaxaqueña-kök, kallat brasero - en traditionell tegelspis, med öppen eld. Vi kommer att få fullt upp med en praktisk matlagningsupplevelse där du lär dig att förbereda aptitretare, traditionella drinkar, salsa och huvudrätter. Som kulmen på vårt hårda arbete kommer vi att dela på en gruppmåltid runt bordet med mat, dryck, berättelser, skratt, kärlek och så klart mezcal. Vi ser fram emot att få kontakt med dig över mat och smak; en av min kulturs äldsta traditioner.

This cooking class experience was amazing! Adhey, Enrique and family welcomed us into their home with open arms and genuine smiles. We were fortunate enough to be the only 3 people in attendance so we were treated to personal hospitality, delicious food and a fun evening! Learning to cook the dishes was only one part of the night - Adhey and Enrique were so interested in hearing about us (New Zealand culture) and created a wonderful experience we won’t soon forget. Gracias!
The cooking experience with chef Adhey and Enrique was amazing! They teach you to make a range of different Mexican cuisines that are not only delicious but useful in cooking back home. We also tasted different fruits and traditional Oaxacan chocolate along with plenty of cerveza and mezcal. This experience was everything we were looking for as Enrique and Adhey were so nice and welcoming. Their cooking class is well worth the price!
This is a must for anyone interested in Oaxacan food. It was a fun, hands-on experience and the entire host family was very friendly and interesting to talk to.

We had such an incredible time at Adhey’s cooking class yesterday- the best day we’ve had in Mexico so far. You get to make and try a variety of delicious dishes including salsas, guacamole and a chicken dish. In addition to the food itself it was lovely spending time with Adhey and her wonderful family and finding out more about Oaxacan culture. The drinks were flowing and we had a really fun time meeting other travellers from across the globe. For a truly authentic experience I can’t recommend this highly enough.
I traveled with my husband, two daughters, and my son-in-law. We had a fantastic time, learned a lot about the cooking traditions in Oaxaca and had an excellent meal. It was super fun not only because the cooking class was amazing, but because the music and the jokes were hilarious. They were also really good with allergies, as I have celiac and my daughter has a print allergy. We strongly recommend this activity while in Oaxaca.
Unbelievable experience - couldn’t reccomend enough. Some of the best food we had in Mexico, great value for money with cervezas and Mezcal included.
We had an exceptional time with Adhey and Enrique's family. The cooking class was very interesting and incredibly good. The family is exceptionally kind, and we laughed a lot. I can only recommend this cooking class with this family. We found it very authentic. Especially since we were taking the class at their home, we felt right at home. A big thank you!
I had an absolutely amazing time at the cooking class in Oaxaca this May! It was so fun, super entertaining, and had such a real, vibrant atmosphere in their own lovely home. Chef Adhey and her husband were fantastic hosts. The class was very well organized, and the people were so kind. A highlight for me was learning to make chile relleno—an absolute masterpiece with fresh ingredients. Everything was delicious. I would recommend it 200%—if you’re in Oaxaca, don’t miss this!
Adhey, Enrique and family were great hosts, we had a fantastic afternoon cooking traditional Mexican food! They made us feel very welcome and had lots of fun whilst we learnt about the traditional methods of cooking! It was a great way to spend my birthday too! We would highly recommend adding this to your list of things to do whilst in Oaxaca!!
