Du börjar vid Georgiens krönika – sexton stenpelare huggna med kungar, helgon och krigare, som står ovanför staden med Tbilisihavet utsträckt bakom sig. Sedan Sabaduriskogen och naturreservatet. Vi träffas specifikt på den öppna parkeringsplatsen bredvid Cafe Tramway (en distinkt veteranvagn). Det är en central, tillgänglig plats perfekt för att börja vår resa. För privatresande gäster : Njut av maximal komfort med vår kostnadsfria upphämtning från dörr till dörr. Din Guide möter dig direkt i lobbyn på ditt hotell eller residens i Tbilisi, vilket garanterar en stressfri start på dagen. Viktigt: För att säkerställa att vi får det bästa ljuset och maximerar vår tid i björnreservatet och skogen, ber vi alla gäster att anlända 10 minuter före avgång. Chronicle of Georgia finns inte med på de flesta turistkartor — vilket är precis varför det är värt att börja här. Sexton massiva stenpelare reser sig över staden, huggna med Kristus liv, georgiska kungar och helgonen som formade detta land. Skulptör var Zurab Tsereteli — samma konstnär bakom några av de största monumenten i den forna sovjetvärlden. Vågen är verkligen svår att förbereda sig på förrän man står framför den. Från kullen sträcker sig Tbilisihavets reservoar mot horisonten bakom pelarna. I morgonljuset ser det ut som en tavla. Fotografer kommer tidigt och stannar sent. De flesta turnégrupper hoppar över detta helt. De som stannar spenderar sällan tillräckligt med tid. Du får 45 minuter — tillräckligt för att gå runt, läsa ristningarna och ta panoramavybilden som får alla hemma att fråga var du var.
Efter krönikan kör vi in i Sabaduriskogen — och in i ett av de mest oväntade stoppen på någon Tbilisitur. Undangömt i byn Tskhvarichamia finns ett litet viltreservat som räddar och rehabiliterar brunbjörnar, vargar, hundar och hästar. Det här är inga uppträdande djur. De bor här permanent, omhändertagna av ett engagerat lokalt team. Ta med äpplen eller morötter — du kan mata björnarna själv. Din Guide visar dig hur du gör det på ett säkert sätt. Barn blir helt tysta i samma ögonblick som en björn tar mat från deras hand. Sen pratar de om det resten av dagen. Valfria donationer stöder fristaden direkt. Ingen kommer att pressa dig – men det gör en verklig skillnad för djuren och människorna som tar hand om dem. Skogen runt helgedomen förändras helt med årstiderna — djup snö på vintern, grön och levande på våren, gyllene på hösten. Alla besök ser olika ut.
Kliv in på sidorna i en vintersaga i Sabaduri Forest, Georgiens mest fotogeniska naturliga landmärke. Beläget bara en kort bilresa från staden i Tbilisis nationalpark, är denna förtrollande plats känd för sina täta, perfekt anpassade träd som skapar en magisk tunneleffekt. För fotografer och sociala medier-entusiaster är detta den ultimata destinationen. Skogen erbjuder en filmisk bakgrund som ser direkt ut ur en fantasyfilm. När den är välsignad med snö förvandlas den till ett orört vitt underland där familjer kan bygga snögubbar, göra snöänglar och ta fantastiska semesterporträtt (om vädret tillåter). Även under klara vinterdagar utan tung snö erbjuder den mystiska atmosfären i de djupa skogarna och den krispiga bergsluften en uppfriskande flykt. Det är en plats där naturen lockar fram barnet i alla, erbjuder oändliga möjligheter till upptäcktsfärder och skapar oförglömliga familjeminnen.
Ingen resa till Georgien är komplett utan att besöka dess mest kända andliga landmärke: Jvariklostret. Detta arkitektoniska mästerverk från 500-talet ligger dramatiskt uppe på en klippig bergstopp med utsikt över den antika huvudstaden Mtskheta och är upptaget på UNESCO:s världsarvslista och en djupgående symbol för georgisk kristendom. För fotografer och historieälskare erbjuder Jvari en av de mest spektakulära panoramautsikterna i landet. Från kyrkogården kan du blicka ner på den hisnande dalen Mtskheta och de omgivande bergskedjorna och fånga kärnan i Kaukasus i en enda bild. En vänlig anmärkning om trafiken : Även om vi alltid siktar på att återvända exakt enligt tidtabellen, kom ihåg att Tbilisi-trafiken kan vara oförutsägbar, särskilt under kvällsrusningstid. Vi rekommenderar att inte boka strikta tider direkt efter turen, bara i händelse av en liten försening på hemresan.

- Tid och trafik: Var medveten om att trafiken i Tbilisi kan variera, vilket kan påverka turnéns varaktighet. Din förståelse för eventuella förseningar på grund av trafikförhållanden är mycket uppskattad.
- Kom i tid — Vi börjar snabbt av respekt för alla gäster. Kom 5 minuter tidigare – din Guide väntar där. Sen ankomst kan inte följa med på en pågående tur.

Joined the half day group tour in January 2026 with group size of less than 20 people. The tour guide is friendly, hospitable and knowledgeable. My kid thoroughly enjoyed herself at the forest feeding the animals at the sanctuary.

I believe this tour was one of the best decisions I made during my visit to Tbilisi. The places are different than what other tours generally offer. That is why it makes this tour special. We loved this experience- seeing many beautiful places!! Seeing animals made my heart full! Forest was lil disappointing as guidr mentioned its difficult to get same weather there - its a rare phenomenon! But still it was amazing times - Oksana was super friendly, knowledgeable guide - she explained everything in detail!! She was very patiently with us! We had an excellent tour in Tbilisi Georgia . We had a wonderful experience on the Family Half-Day Tour to Sabaduri, Georgian Chronicles, and Jvari, especially traveling with an infant and senior family members. The itinerary was very well planned — relaxed, scenic, and not physically demanding, which made it ideal for all age groups. Our guide Guram truly made the trip special. He was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and patient, and he genuinely cared about everyone’s comfort. Guram explained the history and culture in a clear and engaging way, never rushing us, and he was always happy to adjust the pace to suit our family’s needs. He was especially considerate with the baby and very respectful toward the seniors, which we greatly appreciated. The locations were beautiful and easily accessible, with plenty of time to enjoy the views at Jvari, learn about the Georgian Chronicles, and relax in the peaceful Sabaduri area. The drive was smooth, and transportation was comfortable throughout the tour. Overall, this was a stress-free, enjoyable, and enriching experience. We highly recommend this tour to families, especially those traveling with infants or elderly members — and if you get Guram as your guide, you’re in excellent hands!

Our guide Nina was very friendly and patient with us. The tour is so much fun, not tiring at all. 10/10 Chronicles of Georgia are legendary and the bears and wolves sanctuary was so much fun. Nina also got us carrots to feed them and taught us few tricks to play with the animals

We had an amazing experience with Ms Khatuna. She's well informed, passionate about her work and country. She answered all the questions we had and it was very enlightening and entertaining. The snowy forest walk was truly a moment picked out of a fairytale. Feeding the bears and wolves was also a unique experience. We truly enjoyed and would highly recommend booking this tour.
