En dag för att upptäcka skatter och skönheter i de två viktigaste städerna på östra Sicilien: Syracuse (Ortigia) och Noto. Upptäck den sicilianska barocken för att andas högtidligheten i tidlösa platser.

Utflykten börjar med ett besök i Neàpolis i Syracuse, den berömda arkeologiska parken på landsbygden. Webbplatsen som också innehåller den grekiska teatern, Dionisios öra och Latomie. Besöket kommer att pågå ungefär en och en halv timme.
Syracuse och Noto Tour tar dig sedan till den vackra halvön Ortigia. Från ruinerna av Apollo-templet börjar din promenad genom de typiska gatorna. Du kommer fram till Piazza Duomo med den vackra vita katedralen "Födelsedag av Maria Aller Heligaste". Kyrkan byggdes på det forntida grekiska templet för gudinnan Athena. Promenaden fortsätter till Fonte Aretusa och den magnifika strandpromenaden. Här i Ortigia kommer vi att erbjuda dig ett rikt mellanmål baserat på sicilianskt varmbord, åtföljt av vatten och Etna-vin. Eller, om du föredrar, har du en timmes ledig tid att äta lunch på en av de många karakteristiska restaurangerna i stadens gränder.
Efter lunch fortsätter du mot Noto, det sista stoppet för Syracuse och Noto Tour. Juvelstaden siciliansk barock, UNESCOs arv tillsammans med andra platser i Val di Noto. Noto betraktas som ett "friluftsmuseum". Här besöker du dess huvudrätt som går in från Royal Gate. Fortsätter du anländer du till San Francesco-kyrkan från de majestätiska trappstegen och Palazzo Ducezio, som ligger i Piazza del Municipio. Med att beundra de många kyrkorna och de många palatsen kan man inte besöka moderkyrkan med biskopens palats och kyrkan San Salvatore. Ett besök i Nicolaci-palatset med dess dekorativa balkonger som symboliserar den neo-barocka stilen är också oundvikligt. Noto anses vara huvudstaden i siciliansk barock och att besöka det betyder att andas högtidligheten på en tidlös plats som verkar ha fixat sig i den mjuka lokala stenen.

Bus tickets bought from traveling.com site were easier to understand and included maps showing bus stop locations. The Interbus ticketing process was more confusing and had no maps of the stops.
Giovanni was extremely knowledgeable about the area and places visited and was a good communicator. He ensured that any questions were answered and kept things interesting during the ride. Ortigia and Noto are beautiful towns with interesting architecture and history.
Super patients and professionals is not the first time we rely on them and as always we remain satisfied we recommend them.
A very fulfilling experience. Experienced Syracuse, Ortigia and Notto at a calm pace filling-in the amazing cities and good vibes.
An excellent day trip. Lots of history and beautiful architecture. Our guide Danilo was exceptional. He was very informative and worked hard to please everyone in two languages. He was very knowledgeable. We visited the ruins at Neapolis then Ortigia where we walked the town and had some free time. Finally we went to the picturesque town of Noto. Lunch was good at a modest restaurant in Syracuse.
Even though the places we visit were good, our driver left us without guidance for an hour before we realize that due to the G7 event he cannot park the van. So we had to walk ourselves Ortigia with no guide to explain the highlights of the city.
The trip was well organized. Syracuse was very interesting especially considering the combination of old Greek and Roman ruins with new sculptures. Ortigia had great architecture as well. Particularly like all the numerous Baroque style churches.
Highly recommend this company and the tour. Very informative with enough free time to visit places on your own. Giovanni was an excellent guide. Wished we would have booked all our trips through them.
The trip was very pleasant, all the cities are worth-visiting. From my perspective, what can be improved is having a guide that shares more infos (as the description states there is a polyglot guide included). In the tour, we had a driver that would hand us printed information, leave us in specific places and pick us after some time.
The tour was excellent. Teresa was more than helpful, kind and patient despite being out of hours. A person of heart and very professionale.As before the experience of the day trip was top. Maybe they were all so available. I would put more stars but there are no☺️
