Beskrivning
De två "måste se" attraktionerna i Stockholm är Gamla Stan (Gamla Stan) och Vasamuseet. Få turister lämnar Stockholm utan att besöka dessa två attraktioner! Denna turné, som börjar vid Gamla Stans tunnelbanestation, kombinerar dessa två stora attraktioner! Under vandringen berättar vi historien om Stockholm och Sverige. Detta inkluderar tiden då Sverige var en av Europas största makter och Vasaskeppet byggdes. Vi börjar vår vandring på Riddarholmen med en vacker utsikt över Mälaren och Stadshuset. Vi passerar Adelshuset, Riksdagshuset, Kungliga slottet och Stortorget i Gamla stan. Därefter tar vi färjan "Djurgårdsfärjan", en 10 minuters resa till Djurgården, där Vasamuseet ligger. I museet kommer vi att berätta den häpnadsväckande historien om hur ett av världens modernaste krigsfartyg kapsejsade efter bara 1300 meters segling! Efter resan kan du fortsätta med några av de andra museerna eller aktiviteterna på Djurgården!

Vi börjar turnén på Gamla Stan tunnelbanestation, inom / under marken, framför Pressbyrån-kiosken. Vi pratar om Stockholm och Sveriges tidiga historia, från istiden till de första bosättningarna på öarna. Från Riddarholmen (Riddareön) har vi en vacker utsikt över sjön Mälaren och stadshuset, det berömda landmärket i Stockholm,
Historien fortsätter ... Utanför Riddarholmen kyrka kommer vi att träffas Stockholm, Birger Jarls grundare, eller åtminstone en staty av honom. 1252 är året då "Stockholm" nämndes först i en skriftlig text som bevaras fram till idag. Birger Jarl undertecknade papperet ...
Vi stannar utanför Riddarhuset, Adelshuset och tittar på statyn av Gustav Vasa, "Sveriges far". Sedan Gustav Vasa 1523 marscherade till Stockholm har Sverige varit en suverän stat och aldrig ockuperat av utländska makter. Gustav, efter att hans far och mellan 80 till 100 andra adelsmän dödades i ”Stockholms blodbad”, organiserade ett uppror mot vår södra granne som hade tagit kontroll över Sverige. Han ändrade också religionen i Sverige från katolisismen till luthersk protestantism
Nästa stopp vid Kungliga slottet. Vi kommer att gå in på den yttre gården och se vakterna, ofta klädda i eleganta uniformer från tidigare dagar. Vi besöker även "Slottsbacken" med vacker utsikt över Stockholms inre hamn.
Sveriges minsta och finaste staty!
Nobel Price Museum ligger på Stortorget. Svenska kungliga akademierna utser vinnare av de mest prestigefyllda priserna inom många viktiga områden inom vetenskap och konst.
Nedanför statyn av Carl XIV Johan fortsätter vi historien om Sverige. Denna kung, den första av Bernadotterna, importerades till Sverige från Frankrike i början av 1800-talet för att vinna tillbaka vad vi förlorade för ryssarna. I stället satte han sitt ansträngningar till diplomati, bygga infrastruktur och utveckla utbildning! År 2014 firades 200 års fred i Sverige. Industrirevolutionen, naturresurserna och de stora svenska uppfinningarna skapade en grund för en välfärdsstat och flera entreprenörer fortsatte utvecklingen under 20 och 21-talen. !
Från Skeppsbron tar vi färjan "Djurgårdsfärjan" till Djurgården. Dags för lite vila :) (Detta är en rundvandring; i Gamla stan går vi ca 1 mil, och efter båtturen ytterligare 0,5 mil till Vasamuseet. Så totalt ca 1,5 mil (ca 2,4 km) ) Men vi går i långsam takt, och vi stannar till på olika platser, fotograferar etc., och vi är öppna för justeringar av tempot.)
Ingången till Vasa-museet ingår. Vår guide visar dig fartyget och berättar den fantastiska historien om hur Vasa kapades och sedan räddades mer än 300 år senare! Detta är slutet på guidad tur, men du är välkommen att stanna kvar i museet efter att turen är klar. (Om du har tid, varför inte stanna på ön Djurgården också på eftermiddagen, besök Abba-museet ("gå in, dansa ut"), Vikingmuseet, nöjesparken Gröna Lund eller Skansen. Alla dessa attraktioner är beläget på den vackra ön Djurgården (men ingår inte i denna turné)).

We learned so much about the history, people and architecture as we walked through! Natalie was wonderful as our guide! She helped us cover so much more ground than we could on our own, and understand what we were looking at. This tour helped us appreciate Stockholm even more than we did before we arrived. After three hours of the walking part, we ended at the Vasa museum to navigate that at our own pace. I would say including the Vasa museum, the whole tour was more like at least four hours (depending on how long you want to stay at the museum). 10/10 would absolutely recommend this tour! It was fun and we learned so much :).
Our guide Natalie was very informative and sincere. Only constructive feedback is that the meeting place was not the easiest to find. This was a new country to navigate and meeting in an underground rail station was not waxy to find. Loved the vasser museum. Fascinating

We covered a lot of ground, our guide was knowledgeable and answered every question well. A lot better than the average walking tour of a city. The Vasa museum was unlike anything you likely will ever see, the useless (albeit attractive) ornamentation on a warship speaks to a different era of wartime. Would recommend this tour to anyone with limited time in Stockholm who is looking for a good overview.

Informative and nice overview of town center and Vasa, which was at the end of the tour and we stayed another hour and walked to ship along the water.

Informative walking tour of the history of Stockholm starting at the Baltic Sea & winding thru the city into Old Town. Our guide pointed out buildings & areas of historic significance adding significant facts to the story of Stockholm’s history. The Vaser Museum was outstanding.
