Vårt första stopp är det magnifika Qoricanchatemplet, även känt som ”Gyllene Palatset”. Denna heliga plats för Inkafolket var centrum för politiskt och religiöst liv, som senare omvandlades av spanjorerna till Santo Domingo-klostret. Kontrasten mellan Inka och kolonial arkitektur gör det till ett måste för historie- och fotografiälskare.
Inkafästningen med fantastisk utsikt: Därefter kommer vi att utforska Sacsayhuaman, en enorm inkafästning med imponerande stenmurar och panoramautsikt över Cusco. Beundra storheten i detta UNESCO-världsarv och dess imponerande omgivningar.
En helig inkaplats med mystiska snidade klippformationer, en tunnelbanekammare och ceremoniella altaren som tros ha använts för ritualer och mumifiering.
Denna militära post är känd som "Röda fortet" och har terrasser, murar och vakttorn, strategiskt byggda för att skydda ingången till Cusco.
En imponerande vattenreservat med akvedukter, kanaler och fint huggna sten vattenfall, tros vara en helig plats för Inka vatten dyrkan och reningsceremonier.
Mirador del Cristo Blanco ligger uppe på en kulle med utsikt över Cusco och erbjuder en fantastisk panoramautsikt över staden. Den 8 meter höga vita statyn av Kristus är en symbol för fred och en populär plats att ta fantastiska bilder, särskilt vid solnedgången.

Overall the tour was good and our guide was knowledgeable and we enjoyed all the sites we saw! One thing I didn’t know ahead of time is that the tour is both in English and Spanish - so the guide alternates describing things between the two languages. We appreciated the opportunity to learn about real vs fake alpaca from an authentic source. Bring food/snacks!

This tour was half a day (approximately 5 hours), and covered a lot of different historical sites in Cusco. Abel was the guide, very knowledgeable and attentive. He made it a great experience for everyone!

We really enjoyed this tour - a wonderful way to get to know cusco and see some Inca ruins from the surrounding area. Our guide Victor was fabulous - very informative friendly and a great photographer.
