Under ledning av en levande skurkguide utforskar denna lilla grupptur den sanna mörka historien bakom de ökända karaktärerna som inspirerade våra rommar - från konspirerare och giftblandare till kungar och mördare. Lär dig mer om Yorks mest ökända skurkar genom underhållande berättande, levandegjort med humor och historiska detaljer. Längs vägen kan du prova ett urval av våra handgjorda, lokalt inspirerade rommar - var och en kopplad till berättelsen du hör. Finns även med gin om så önskas eller alkoholfria alternativ. Perfekt för historieälskare, romentusiaster och nyfikna sinnen, denna upplevelse äger rum helt inne i vår uppslukande rombutik och skurkaktiga gömställe. We had the best time on this experience. Vespa our 'guide' was great fun, informative and a fantastic host of sorts. I would definitely recommend this!
Fantastic way to try different flavoured rum while learning about the history of the villains of York. Vespa was great. We would highly recommend. Exit via the gift shop 😄

Had a great time with my dad, a lovely Father's day which he enjoyed as we shared our taste in Rum. Violet our tour guide was friendly and kept us engaged the entire time. We both learned a few things about the famous Villians of York and had a good laugh during our visit. We would highly recommend a visit.
I was not sure what to expect as my wife had booked the experience. As soon I went into the shop I was intrigued, it is nicely set up and the staff all look very interesting! We had a very friendly greeting and we were quickly given a rum to taste as we waited on the other guests. It was nice to have a look around before we started. Once the tour started I loved the enthusiasm of our guide Vespa, she was great, getting the group to open up and chat between ourselves as she told us tales of some of Yorks villains and what rum we were drinking to celebrate how bad they were! I enjoyed all the rums which you can try straight or with a mixer, but most of all I enjoyed listening to and watching Vespa. Great to see someone put on a show. It is not a long experience, but very enjoyable. Also bought a few rums, which I have enjoyed at home.
our host Vespa was amazing, full of energy and very entertaining. The Rum's were lovely and did make purchases.
We were treated to a drama about the villains of York and plied with copious amounts of differently-flavoured rums, each with its own villain avatar. In addition - 10% off the rums - we bought 2 x large bottles - a free Tote bag and a certificate (see pics). Vespa was our host and she is a dynamic actress, bringing the characters to life. The rums are excellent - we have bought from their market stalls before in York and at Harrogate Festivals. Even the bottles are works of art, each with a character picture and elaborate wax seal - they make great presents. The show lasted best part of an hour by which time we had tasted 6 x rums - all lovely in their own way. Whats not to like? Good value for money.
We visited villains rum yesterday (6th June) and thoroughly enjoyed our experience, there were lots of different tasty rums to try but our favourite was the chilli guy fawkes flavour! Our host was Vespa who was great at telling the gruesome stories of the villains! Thank you for our amazing experience we would Definitely recommend it if you are visiting York!
Such fun! What a unique experience. Really great tour, interesting and wonderfully delivered- so much character. Rums were delicious we left with a few. A clever idea, expertly delivered.
Violet was great! Enjoyed hearing about the history behind the characters the rums were based off. The tour lasted 30 mins and after the tour we were able to try any other gins/ liquors that we were interested in. We ended up buying the gingerbread and caramelised pineapple rum and then a chocolate orange rum liquor. Would recommend!
