Beluga Point är också ett område för vilda djur. Vitvalar kan ses säsongsvis från juli till augusti när hundratals av valarna besöker Cook Inlet för att livnära sig på Stillahavslaxen.
Potter Marsh, i södra änden av Anchorage Coastal Wildlife Refuge, är en idealisk paus från Anchorage för fågelskådare och andra djurlivsbeskådare. Från Seward Highway strax före vänstersvängen in på Potter Marsh-parkeringen bjuds du på en fantastisk utsikt över Turnagain Arm. En träpromenad slingrar sig 1 550 fot från parkeringsområdet genom kärret och över vattniga öppningar och svall, perfekt livsmiljö för ett rikt utbud av fåglar. Från slutet av april till september använder kanadagäss, nordliga trollsvansar, canvasback-änder, rödhalsade falaropor, horn- och rödhalsdoppingar och nordliga harrier denna våtmark. Leta efter örnbon i bomullsskogen nära basen av bluffen med hjälp av en kikare eller en kikare.

We had a great time - lots of local knowledge and information - Custom tailored experience for what your interested in seeing .
Excellent service, we had a big group with lots of luggage and had no issues getting off the ship and on to start our tour. They explained all our options and we decided what was best for our group. We got to see a lot before getting dropped off the airport. Our tour guide was very informative through out the drive and answered all our questions. She made sure we had reservations at a restaurant for our big group even with 4th of July traffic we were on time for every stop. Highly recommend as an option to get to the airport after a cruise.

We arranged for this private pickup after our Royal Caribbean cruise. Our guide, Bill, arrived earlier than our scheduled pickup time. He was very knowledgeable about local wildlife and took us to some great spots along our drive to Anchorage.

Great way to travel from the cruise terminal to Anchorage airport! Van was spacious and comfortable for the 7 of us and all our luggage. Danna was a wonderful and informative tour guide. It was private so she took the time to find out what we wanted to do on the way to Anchorage. Highlights along the way: Wildlife Conservation Center, went to top of Alesky Mountain via tram and had lunch, and walked a short trail to a beautiful waterfall. It is a bit pricey per person, but it was also a tour with a transfer that lasted 8 hours. It was definitely worth it and I would do it again.
