We had a great time on our history tour! Patrick was very well versed in Savannah’s history and you can tell he truly loves getting to share it. We were on morning history tour and since we couldn’t make a ghost tour he added some great stories for us.

My husband and I had a great evening ghost touring with Patrick! I really appreciated that the tour went off despite the rain and the two of us being the only people who booked that evening. I have scheduled tours that have canceled for less, but Patrick assured us he still would have hosted the tour for one guest. If you are looking for a guide who will simply share Urban Legends of Savannah, this tour is not for you. If you are looking for firsthand stories from a paranormal researcher, then you will not be disappointed. Patrick is clearly passionate about sharing the history of Savannah, which I appreciated since we got both a historical and ghost tour. He was open and honest about his own paranormal encounters at some regular haunts, and some more unexpected locations as well. If you do book with The Guy in the Kilt come ready to ask questions and share your own terrifying tales. Patrick loves discussing the paranormal with his guests, and will theorize with you about anything and everything pertaining to it. It is important to note that there are Pub stops along the way, as well as bathrooms. My husband and I opted to not stop since I don’t drink, but just knowing there were opportunities to use the restroom put my mind at ease. For a different sort of ghost tour I highly recommend The Guy in the Kilt!

Great guide. Very informative and engaging. It was a ‘private’ tour because nobody else had booked that evening, but he said that he’ll go out even if it’s 1-2 or a full tour which is so great because some tours will cancel if there aren’t “enough” people

It really sucks because we were excited for this tour. The reviews looked great I booked for my wife and myself and we waited at the correct meeting point for 20 minutes past the time we were supposed to meet in the winter cold. I messaged the guide twice and no one ever responded. I don’t know if somehow he never got the message that he had 2 clients who had just paid 70+ dollars waiting for him. The worst part is I really wanted to do this

Due to an apparent communication issue with the booking platform, I never received the notification or messages regarding your reservation and was unaware that you were waiting. As soon as I became aware of the situation, I contacted you directly, issued a full refund, and also offered a complimentary tour should you return to Savannah, as I genuinely wanted the opportunity to make things right. I understand how disappointing and frustrating this experience must have been, especially after looking forward to the tour. I have since reported the issue and reviewed my notification systems to help prevent anything similar from happening in the future. My offer for a complimentary tour remains open, and I would welcome the chance to provide the experience that so many of my guests have come to expect.

Try a different haunted tour If you want haunted history “legends” This guy likes to tell his own stories and his own experiences and that isnt what we were looking for… the bar stops were horrible.. the first bar was smelly and the second bar was way short staffed. The tour took 2 hours and we were bored by the end . My mom taught me that if you dont have anything nice to say… dont say anything at all. So I will leave it at that . All 7 of my girlfriends that went were not impressed either.

Many guests appreciate hearing genuine experiences rather than the usual rehearsed ghost stories, though I understand that approach isn’t for everyone. As for the bar stops, while I can’t control the staffing or atmosphere of independently owned venues, I do my best to choose locations that reflect Savannah’s authentic character—sometimes that includes a touch of old-world grit along with the spirits! And as for not being able to say anything nice… about an experience that has earned hundreds of five-star reviews from guests around the world? That’s more than a little heartbreaking and harsh to read, as I absolutely adored your group! I certainly didn’t pick up on any negative vibes during the tour—you all were smiling, interacting, and asking great questions. You truly found nothing positive to say? Even the ghosts might be shaking their heads at that one! But I will concur with the first part of your review: “Try a different haunted tour if you want haunted history ‘legends.’ This guy likes to tell his own stories and his own experiences.” Absolutely 100% spot on. I especially agree with the “legends” part—in quotes. The unsubstantiated, scripted myths are what the larger corporate tours offer. May I suggest an edit? “Read the description of this tour before you book, so you know exactly what to expect and aren’t disappointed.” Nonetheless, I genuinely thank you for your business and wish you and your friends the best in finding a tour that better fits your expectations. Savannah has many options—mine just happens to be for those seeking something personal and real rather than scripted and rehearsed. ;)
