Vi började denna turné bra genom att besöka Camacha; en av de mest lantliga och rustika byarna på Madeira där folklore fortfarande praktiseras i stor utsträckning. Camacha gör Madeira känt över hela världen för sin rotting- och sockerrörsindustri. Passa på att se en mängd olika produktionsstycken utställda.
Nästa stopp är Pico do Areeiro, den tredje högsta toppen på ön med en höjd av 1818m som ger fantastiska 360's utsikter över ön. Ofta kan man se klippformationer bryta igenom molnen och skapa fantastiska vyer och fotomöjligheter.
Sedan beger vi oss till Ribeiro Frio (som betyder kall flod). Ribeiro Frio är en liten by som ligger i hjärtat av Laurissilva-skogen. Det är det största bevarade området av lagerskog i världen och tros vara 90% primärskog. På denna plats klassad som mänsklighetens naturarv av UNESCO kan vi njuta av en fantastisk variation av växter och arter i deras livsmiljö. Vi kan också observera den intressanta öringfarmen som består (så naturligt som möjligt) av stengärder, färskvatten från levada, belägen i en vacker miljö av ren natur.
Vi fortsätter vår tur till Faial där vi kan se den imponerande klippan Penha de Águia, som skiljer Faial från Porto da Cruz.
Med ett längre stopp i byn Santana kommer du att ha gott om tid att äta lunch och även passa på att se de världsberömda triangulära halmtakshusen typiska för Madeira, målade i glada grundfärger.
Ponta São Lourenço, som ligger i den östligaste delen av ön, kan vi observera detta magnifika landskap som kännetecknas av den fantastiska kombinationen av klippor, hav och natur.
Vårt sista stopp är den större staden Machico; det första området på ön som portugisiska navigatörer hittade vid tidpunkten för upptäckterna.

VIKTIGT MEDDELANDE ANGÅENDE UPPHÄMTNING OCH TRANSPORT Observera att upphämtning finns tillgänglig i Funchals centrum och det största turisthotellområdet. Vissa områden, inklusive gågator, historiska gator i Funchal och platser med begränsad åtkomst för den typ av transport vi använder, kanske inte är lämpliga för direkt upphämtning. Om ditt boende ligger utanför vårt upphämtningsområde eller i en zon med begränsad åtkomst, vänligen ange din fullständiga adress så att vi kan hänvisa dig till närmaste tillgängliga mötesplats i Funchal. Våra aktiviteter genomförs vanligtvis i grupper om cirka 16 deltagare. Under högsäsong kan dock transporttypen justeras och antalet deltagare per grupp kan öka, beroende på tillgänglighet och logistiska behov.

Our guide, Renato, was fantastic—extremely knowledgeable, engaging, and very funny. The trip was well organised from start to finish. We saw so much and experienced plenty of real “wow” moments along the way. It was a memorable experience, and I would highly recommend it.

I did not go to get the door where I was staying, in the application they accepted where I was staying then they sent me to go to another place, having a motor disability, nor did the guide speak in Portuguese as I asked when I booked,

Tal como tivemos oportunidade de explicar nas várias mensagens trocadas antes da atividade, o seu alojamento encontra-se numa travessa da zona velha da cidade onde, por questões legais, de segurança e de circulação, o nosso minibus não pode aceder. Por esse motivo, foi indicado um ponto de encontro alternativo, situado a uma curta distância do alojamento, provavelmente inferior à distância que os nossos viajantes habitualmente percorrem em algumas paragens do próprio tour. Compreendemos a sua observação relativamente à sua limitação motora e lamentamos qualquer desconforto causado. Ainda assim, procurámos sempre indicar o ponto de recolha mais próximo e viável, respeitando as restrições de circulação existentes em algumas zonas do Funchal. Relativamente ao idioma, o guia prestou informações em português e inglês durante o tour. Acrescentamos ainda que, no próprio dia, a senhora informou o nosso guia que, além do português, também falava inglês, francês e alemão, o que naturalmente contribuiu para uma comunicação mais flexível durante a experiência. Lamentamos uma vez mais que a atividade não tenha sido totalmente satisfatória e agradecemos o seu comentário, que teremos em consideração para continuar a melhorar os nossos serviços.

Some pretty typical old houses but a short stop is enough. Very complicated parking. Trying to join a visit
Typical Madeiran houses, definitely worth seeing if you pass through Santana. A must-see place, very pretty and free.
Renata was an excellent host, first class, and great driver. We thoroughly enjoyed the days excursion. So much knowledge and a true gentleman to his passengers. Everything from trees, fruit, history, and up to date. Would highly recommend this tour and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. Thank you Renata. ( George lol, go on the tour to find out this).

Unfortunately this trip was not good. The bus driver was very abrupt, the mini bus seats were all broken with had broken seat belts too. I tried three seats and then gave up. We were told we could have the noisy air conditioning on or the driver commentary. We couldnt have both, as the intercom on the bus was broken. We chose the commentary so air conditioning was turned off. Only to find some of the windows wouldn't open and we were told to stop trying to open them. This didn't feel like a touring mini bus as the windows were really low and we couldn't see outside without ducking down. Some of the seats had the wheel arch inside the bus, therefore no leg room. The poor condition of the bus let this tour down. The locations were great and really enjoyed the scenic stops.
Stopping off and seeing different attractions on route and the commentary from our guide. We were lucky that we had lovely sunny weather on the day. We were picked up on time from our hotel.
Highly recommend this tour as it visits a number of places and our guide took us to see a genuine traditional old house, not just those built as a tourist attraction
Very nice day in the east of the island. Very nice stops with panoramic views, break time to eat in Santana and discover its typical little houses. We liked the tour as much as the one to the west. The driver was very kind and his explanations in French were always interesting. If you combine the West + East towers with the half day at the Valley of the Nuns, you have a very nice view of the whole island. I recommend Feeling Madeira, very good company and explanations in French for Francophones.
