We did this hike with an excellent guide. Denis Rosa led the way up the glacier and we saw some pretty incredible things. The glacier was uncrowded and we had a small group which was really special. Highly recommend recommended.
The Solheimajokull Glacier Hike was one of the highlights of our trip to Iceland. We were lucky enough to have phenomenal weather, and our tour guide Franco truly went out of his way to make our experience unique and memorable! My friends and I all agreed the four hour trip was the perfect amount of time to experience the glacier, ask lots of questions, enjoy the hike, and take photos without feeling rushed. Our group was 13 people, which was a fantastic size to still get one-on-one time and ask plenty of questions without feeling lost in the crowd. The hike itself still felt like a good workout, so make sure you are ready for a steep incline/descent. I absolutely would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Iceland as it was truly unique and one of the highlights of our trip! Shoutout Franco for being such an incredible guide and making our trip so memorable!

We booked the Glacier Discovery. Tour was great. Very well organized. I felt safe and taken care of. Views were incredible. It was a unique experience I will always remember. Geert M was our guide and he was wonderful- knowledgeable, kind, and made me feel safe. I will be recommending the tour to my friends who visit Iceland! It was 4 hours long, started and ended on time.

An unforgettable glacier hike and an experience unlike anything I’ve ever done before! The views were absolutely amazing, and our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, strong, and supportive throughout the hike. The hike was slightly challenging, especially with the rain, but that made the experience even more memorable. If you’re going, definitely bring good waterproof rain gear—and make sure to cover your backpack! Despite the rain, we absolutely loved our hike and would highly recommend this unique experience

My fiance and I had a great time! Our tour guide Leo was fun and knowledgeable about the glacier and its history. He explained how to use the equipment so we felt confident navigating the rough terrain. He even gave us some recommendations for food, hikes, and camping and took excellent pictures of us. The company prioritizes safety and frequently reroutes for the changing conditions and keeps groups small to make it safe for visitors. This was a highlight of our visit and we'd highly recommend this experience. When and if we visit again we'll be sure to go back on this hike.

I went on an early 0900 hike. It was the only time slot open but honestly it worked out so well. The tour guide takes you in a beautiful hike to the glacier. The hike is beautiful where you get to experience valleys full of moss and berries, creeks and waterfalls. After we made it to the glacier and our tour guide named Ekla was such a great leader, adventurer, full of enthusiasm and just overall made the experience so amazing. From tips on how to walk with crampons, to taking us far into the glacier hike, to giving us information about Iceland and its history, it was just so good!! Highly recommend early hike because when our group was heading back there were a lot of people in the trail and glacier

This one already has great enthusiasm. I’d just polish it while keeping it sounding like you: Amazing, amazing experience! Our guide was absolutely fantastic. She was high-energy, knowledgeable, and paid great attention to safety throughout the entire tour. I especially appreciated that she gave everyone an opportunity to assess whether they felt comfortable continuing before we got too far into the experience. She made it clear that there was absolutely no pressure to continue if anyone felt they were in over their head, and even assured us that anyone who decided not to continue would receive a refund. I thought that was incredibly professional and showed that safety genuinely came first. The tour was also very educational, and our guide made the whole experience fun from beginning to end. I would absolutely recommend this tour. Best tour I’ve done in Iceland so far!
