Quad Bike Tour på Black Lava Sands från Mýrdalur

Had an amazing time on this! Probably our favorite thing we did in Iceland. We did the buggy tour and it was spacious and easy to drive, the sights were beautiful, and Hinrik our guide was amazing and told a lot about the region that was super interesting. Highly recommend!

All in all very good. Support, team, and quad. The only thing to criticize was that the group was enormously large, which disrupted the flow a bit!

We chose this ATV tour because it was advertised as suitable for beginners and had many positive reviews. Unfortunately, our experience was very different. Shortly after departure, we noticed that our ATV consistently pulled to the left. My companion drove first and experienced the issue, and after we switched drivers, I experienced the same behavior. We are both experienced drivers, and there was no collision, accident, or unsafe incident. We simply raised what we believed to be a legitimate handling concern. The guide briefly tested the ATV and concluded that nothing was wrong. However, no effort was made to let us try another ATV, compare it with a different vehicle, or explore any alternative solution. Instead, less than 10 minutes into the tour, we were removed from the excursion and transported back to the base while the rest of the group continued. We never reached either of the advertised highlights: Black Sand Beach or the DC-3 Plane Wreck. What disappointed us most was not the ATV itself, but how the situation was handled. We understand that issues can arise during any outdoor activity and that guides must make safety decisions. However, for a tour marketed as beginner-friendly, we expected some reasonable attempt to help us continue participating, whether through a vehicle swap, a passenger option, or another accommodation. After returning to the base, there was no staff available to assist us. We later requested a partial refund because we had received only a small portion of the advertised experience. Our request was denied twice by the shift manager, and no alternative compensation, future credit, or other remedy was offered. Looking through other reviews, it appears that most customers have a positive experience. However, our experience suggests that if you encounter a problem during the tour, the company may be quick to remove participants rather than work toward a reasonable solution. Paying the full price for a tour and receiving less than 10 minutes of participation, without reaching any of the advertised destinations, was extremely disappointing. For that reason, I cannot recommend this tour.

Great tour and great service and attention from Bjarki, Jorby and Naiara

My son and I took an ATV tour, and we had an amazing time! We went to see the plane wreck on the famous black sand beach, and it was an incredible way to experience the landscape. We appreciate that taking the tour allowed us to enjoy the sights with much less crowding. Our guide, Miro, was fantastic. He was incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and kind, especially while helping some members of our group who needed a little extra guidance. He took the time to make sure everyone felt comfortable and understood how to operate the ATVs. The guides were friendly, attentive, and regularly checked in on everyone throughout the tour. Once we got going, we had an absolute blast ripping around on the ATVs! Such a fun and memorable adventure that we would definitely recommend!

This was so much fun! We were a family of 4 with adult children and had a blast. Hinrik and Sindri gave great instructions and also gave us some really interesting information about volcanos and the crashed plane. The atvs were very capable and going through the water was a lot of fun. I highly recommend this tour and operator.

This was by far my favorite thing I did while in Iceland this trip around. Jordy was a great guide and riding through rivers and black sand beaches and just through parts of South oceans was so fun. Our favorite stop was the area he called ‘Jurassic Park’. It was very well organized too which made it less stressful as this was a separate tour that we had to split off from our main tour group. But they made sure to get us back to our main group afterwards very smoothly.

If you want to do a river crossing but don't want to brave the F roads this is the perfect activity, lol. It is a great way to see the plane wreck while learning more about Icelaclnd and exploring the beautiful landscapes and terrains. A lot of people say to skip the plane wreck but not only is the plane wreck worth seeing, especially is you have time, this tour make is even more of a must do. Our guide Henrik was great at answering sharing the history of the spot we were visiting and answering our questions.
