The ride to Pompeii and the guided experience were wonderful! We would highly recommend to anyone with families in particular as otherwise you could get overwhelmed in the logistics and not enjoy the experience as much.

Hubby and I brought our 5 Grandchildren and we had the most wonderful experience. They laughed, swam, relaxed (61 degree room) and made friends at the pool. We used the convenient rec room for the microwave and vending machines. They we're so excited to have their own Cabana! Great staff and beautiful rooms! Thank you Dunes, we will be back!

The tour of Pompeii and walk up Mount Vesuvius were both so amazing. It is a long ride from Rome but the driver and guide made it amazing for our children even though it was a long day. This was their favorite tour we did while in Rome!
We enjoyed the trip to Pompei with our driver -guide Emmanuele, who was very attentive. In Pompei we had a great time with our lovely guide Maria, who made Pompei come alive for us. We had lunch at a restaurant with a magnificent view and good food at Positano and we traveled to Sorrento, and then back to Rome. Thoroughly enjoyable day! Grazie Mille!

Our family of 5 was fortunate to spend a morning with Maria learning about Pompeii. She was incredibly kid-friendly and knew how to re-engage the kids' when the heat distracted them. She had maps and interactive pages for our youngest, as well as a fun prize at the end. The detailed information and stories we learned with Maria allowed us to understand the history and appreciate it on a much deeper level than if we had gone alone or even in a large group. We were able to ask questions and learn things we never would have known otherwise. We were so grateful to learn from her passion and education. Also appreciated the planned transportation, lunch suggestions and talking with our driver, Stefano, along the way. All in, a wonderful, worthwhile experience.

Mimma was wonderful. She kept the kids attention, played a game as we went along and gave them trinkets to keep at the end. In my opinion very good value for money as we saw so many people wandering aimlessly and some even having a sneaky listen to Mimma while she told us information. We were a group of 6 adults and 5 kids ranging from 2 to 9 years.
