From the second we stepped on the boat, the crew treated us like long-lost cousins — nonstop energy, music, dancing, drinks magically appearing in our hands every 4 minutes, and vibes at an unsafe level for introverts. The snorkeling was actually incredible. I went in expecting “look, a fish,” and came out feeling like I had auditioned for a low-budget Discovery Channel special. Crystal clear water, tons of fish, and somehow I swallowed only a medium amount of ocean water. The slides? Absolutely unnecessary… which made them perfect. Nothing humbles a grown adult faster than launching yourself off a boat slide screaming like a toddler while strangers cheer for you. And the food? Way better than “party boat food” has any right to be. I fully expected sadness in aluminum trays and instead found myself going back for seconds while holding a rum punch like I paid all-inclusive prices at a resort. Speaking of drinks — these people do NOT believe in weak pours. At one point I’m pretty sure the bartender looked me in the eyes and said, “vacation calories and decisions do not count here.” Huge shoutout to the crew for keeping the party alive the entire time while somehow also keeping everyone safe, fed, hydrated, entertained, and occasionally upright. 10/10 experience. If you’re in the Dominican Republic and debating whether to book it — do it. Worst case scenario: you end up sunburned, slightly salty, and with 400 videos of your friends embarrassing themselves on the slide. Best vacation day ever.
