St Martins katedral är en imponerande byggnad där kungariket Ungerns historia ägde rum - platsen för kröning av 18 ungerska kungar och drottningar och en viktig symbol för Bratislava. (Kunder kan komma in i katedralen efter turnén.)
Den första delen av turen är utformad som en promenad genom gamla stan, under vilken vi går in i den historiska zonen genom Vydrica porten och lämnar den genom St Michaels porten. Vi kommer främst att fokusera på historiska sammanhang och gastronomi på ett populärt och underhållande sätt.
Michalská brána är den enda porten till stadens befästningar som finns i dag. Definitivt en plats du måste se om du besöker Bratislava.
En plats där du kan känna andedräkten från Bratislava i början av 1800- och 1900-talet. Bratislavas operahus – officiellt känt som den historiska byggnaden för den slovakiska nationalteatern – är en byggnad i nyrenässansstil som öppnades 1886 som Stadsteatern, enligt design av wienska arkitekterna F. Fellner och H. Helmer.
Primatpalatset är en av de vackraste klassicistiska byggnaderna i Slovakien. Samtidigt är det kanske en av de viktigaste byggnaderna i europeisk historia i Bratislava, eftersom den så kallade freden i Bratislava.
Hlavné námestie (bokstavligen "Main Square") är ett av de mest kända och vackraste torgen i Bratislava. Det anses ofta vara centrum i den historiska stadskärnan.
Bratislavas slott är en av huvudstaden i Slovakien. Den sandar på en kulle ovanför gamla stan och dominerar staden Bratislava.

Even though I joined the tour a little late, it was excellent from start to finish. Sebastian had fantastic in-depth knowledge of the area, and whenever we asked questions about other parts of the city, he went into great detail to answer them and even took the time to show us during the tour. Even finishing with his recommendations for lunch!

Wow, 10/10! Sebastian was such a great guide and led such a great tour! We had one full day in Bratislava and chose to do the private tour with Sebastian. It worked out perfectly! He showed us all the main sites and was very knowledgeable about the history of the city and county, culture, and about anything else you wanted to know! Tour was very easy paced (but still a lot of walking). If im ever back in Bratislava I think I'd take the tour again!

Our family of four - 2 adults and 2 older teens, thoroughly enjoyed our private walking tour with Sebastian. Not only did we learn about the beautiful and historic sights along the tour, but Sebastian is a genuinely kind person who loves working with people. At the start of the tour he talked with us about what we would like to see and hear, and along the tour he answered all of our questions. Do you want to hear about old history, more recent history, or a combination of both? Any specific things you want to know about? Sebastian will tailor the tour to each group's interests. We were interested in local food, so he even made a stop for us at Pressburg Bajgel where we tried the local Bratislava pastries and a Kofola drink. Before departing, he gave us some recommendations on what we could do with the rest of our day. It was a great tour, 10/10 recommend!

We had a very small group today, which made for a very interactive discussion. Sebastian was a good guide and covered history, culture, and architectural aspects of Bratislava very well in our time together. I really did enjoy his recommendations to try different types of foods that are local, from meals to candy and drinks. It shows his love for the area and its history and he was not just reciting a set dialog. Highly recommended thorough tour.

The tour did not meet our expectations. Sebastian was kind and pleasant but we would have preferred more information about the history of the city and its people. There were many recommendations for local eateries, and some discussion around the similarities of local countries languages, and many stops at statues/sculptures - however the insight into the history of Bratislava was scant. However, with many hi deeds of 5 star reviews perhaps it is just us who would prefer a different style.

Most of my guests look for a general overview of our history, combined with cultural context, fun facts, and practical local recommendations. Furthermore, if you had specific historical topics you wanted to explore, you were more than welcome to ask questions at any point. I did not notice any questions from your side during our time together, which, for most guides, is a signal that the guest is satisfied with the current depth of the information and does not wish to dive deeper. For the future, if you are looking for a deep, academic dive into historical facts and dates, I highly recommend specifically booking a tour that has "historical tour" with a historian.
