We met George in the lobby of our hotel and walked to the market where we learned how to choose the freshest meat and fish. After purchasing a few items for our meal we walked to the kitchen and were soon engaged in hands-on preparation of delicious fried meatballs, eggplant dip and cheese pie triangles. Recipes came home with us. Yum!
If I were on death row, I would want Chef George to prepare my last meal! He taught us how to purchase food and prepare for a great meal this is one is personable. He was fun he was personable and we highly recommend Chef George to anyone. We tried to hire him to come to the US to be our chef but sadly he declined.
Chef George and Anna were wonderful! Our whole family enjoyed. We had a great walking tour and the food was amazing!
George was extremely knowledgeable about the history of Athens as well as street art around town. He took us through the Byzantine history of the city in one segment, and the incredible open market in another. We finished up with a cooking class in a beautiful space and enjoyed a meal and chit chatting about sports by the end. Highly, highly recommend.
My wife and I did this tour/cooking class with George and his team and it was amazing! We walked through the market and learned how to pick the best meat/fish. Then we went and cooked a traditional Greek meal with them, which was also amazing. The best part of the whole day is that they were relatable, we talked about sports, Ancient Greece, Modern Greece, and everything in between. It was 100% an amazing day and highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Athens!
Our family (my wife and I and our two nineteen year old daughters) had a great walk with George (he knows a lot of history as well as an expert in street art) and then he helped us make a fantastic meal in a very nice space. Highly recommended
