Innan vi beger oss till Kinderdijk tar vi en stund för att introducera dig till Rotterdam, den pulserande, innovativa staden där turen börjar. Om du utgår från Rotterdams centralstation tar vi oss tillsammans med kollektivtrafiken till Erasmusbron för ett snabbt fotostopp, och tar oss sedan till Kinderdijk. Rotterdams centralstation, en av de mest trafikerade platserna i Rotterdam. Känd för sin vackra arkitektur.
Anmärkning: När du startar turen vid Cruise Port Rotterdam, var medveten om att detta är ett stopp innan du fortsätter resan till Kinderdijk. Erasmusbron är bredvid Willemsbrug den andra bron över Nieuwe Maas i centrala Rotterdam och hamnen i Rotterdam och är uppkallad efter den nederländske prästen och humanisten Erasmus. Bron förbinder stadsdelen Kop van Zuid med centrum på norra sidan av floden.

What a great experience. Jess was our guide, she had so many great suggestions for how to make the most of our tour. Provided excellent overview of the area as a whole as well as the windmills themselves.
great experience overall. was expensive but i do recommend this for anyone looking to let someone else handle all of the logistics and wayfinding so you don't have to worry! the site itself was breathtaking and it was great to have someone there to take a couple of photos for us. the meetup was kind of last minute changed then changed back again which was frustrating but ultimately worked out as the guide came to us as originally planned. there was a lot of walking, which we found enjoyable. the guide had interesting stories to share which was fun. items we shared ahead of time were not communicated with the guide which was fine. also, coffee or stops to any cafes were not a part of our experience for some reason so i am glad we grabbed coffee beforehand.
Our tour guide Mo is the greatest tour guide!! He gave us a lot of valuable information with great patience with my kids at our own timing. The windmills at Kinderdijk are a breathtaking UNESCO world heritage place, really peaceful and lovely. We’ve had lots of private tour guides and Mo is one of my top 5! Smaranda was an excellent guide , tour was very nice but we were disappointed in the fact that we booked a private tour and another couple from a cruise ship was joined with our “private tour” due to tour guide shortage! Also since they had to be back on ship by 2:30 we felt pressured to get back on time. It wasn’t a leisurely tour we expected paying for “private”! We hope our next tour with Viator next week which is also private in Scotland June 9 will not disappoint. We booked 5 viator tours on this 16 day adventure and have always trusted your company. We would have liked more that a 5 minute prior notice if tour is changed so we can decide to cancel or not.

You booked expecting an exclusive experience, and I can appreciate why being informed shortly before departure that another couple would be joining felt frustrating. On that particular day, we faced an unexpected guide shortage and were left with the difficult choice of either canceling tours or combining a small number of guests. We chose the latter so that everyone could still enjoy their visit to Kinderdijk. That said, I agree that the communication should have happened earlier and given you more time to decide whether the revised arrangement still suited your expectations. As a company, we have recently reviewed how we operate our small-group experiences. Rather than substantially increasing prices or reducing the quality and inclusions that our guests enjoy, some tours may occasionally be operated as very small-group experiences with a limited number of guests. Going forward, this will be communicated clearly in our tour descriptions and booking information so guests know exactly what to expect before booking. I am sorry that the timing constraints of the other guests made the tour feel less relaxed than you had hoped. That is certainly not the experience we aim to provide. Incredibly beautiful setting. Best way to start the learning process of how the Dutch manage to live 2 meters below sea level from the beginning with the windmills to the present.
