Resplan
Hans kontor var i Hawkshead by.

It was a really easy trip from London. We spoke to Phil at English Lakes Tours and he explained how simple it was to get the train from Euston up to the Lakes District. We were met straight off the train by Tim, our excellent host for the day. the vehicle felt spacious and luxurious with confortable seats, lots of leg room and a very efficient independant air-con. The tour was well planned with fascinating insights that we could only have got from an expert who is passionate about the area and Beatrix herself. I'm so glad that we took the train and didn't have to drive on the left down those really narrow raods and Tim did it all like a true local, smooth and safe! Beatrix Potter's house was awesome and we got to see a castle and spectacular scenery along the way. Even the little extras that we weren't expecting were thoughtful and made us feel very special. Our thanks to Phil and Tim for making this the highlight of our visit to the UK so far. We would recommend it to our friends and family without any hesitation.
Annie, this is so lovely to read — thank you. The train from Euston really does make the whole thing effortless, and we are glad Phil could talk you through it. Tim on those narrow lanes is exactly what you want — calm, smooth and completely at home. The little extras are our favourite part, so we are really pleased those landed. Highlight of your UK visit so far is something we will treasure. Thank you both for such a wonderful review.
Well, we lucked out. We were the only ones on the tour. Our guide, Tom, was a walking in encyclopedia about Beatrix Potter. We learned so much even though we had done research. The thing was pictures in her books that included parts of the scenery or the buildings or the gates that are still there. We’ve loved every minute.
Peggy, the two of you to yourselves — that is a very good morning indeed. And the illustrations are one of our favourite things to explore at Hill Top; Beatrix built her house into her books in ways that keep surprising people even when they think they know the story. We are so glad you enjoyed it. Thank you for spending the morning with us.
This tour was outstanding! The scenery was gorgeous. Tim our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable regarding the area and Beatrix Potter. There was so much more to her life story than I could have imagined.
So much more to her life story than you could have imagined — that is our favourite thing to hear after the Beatrix Potter tour. The books are wonderful. The woman behind them is extraordinary. Really glad Tim brought all of it to life for you.
Magnificent visit to Beatrix Potter’s Hilltop farm and the surrounding areas where Ms. Potter lived.
All-in tour suitable for beginners of Lake District and Beatrix Potter. Excellent guide and driver made the tour even more spectacular. Weather was also perfect (it started raining when the tour ended, though). Really enjoyed this 4-hour tour!
I had little knowledge of Beatrix Potter's life (other than that she had written and illustrated cute children's books) before taking this tour. Our guide Tim did a terrific job of filling in the blanks and showing how important she was in the preservation of the Lake District. She was involved in many causes, all of them for the good. Because of her work, much of the area we saw on the tour was relatively unchanged from what was present during Potter's life. Tim also has a thorough knowledge of the history of the Lake District, including its growth as a vacation spot in the 19th Century. I can't explain now how he was able to convey so much information in a half-day. I highly recommend this tour.
We were looking for something to do just for a morning and found this tour which was absolutely perfect. Trawling the reviews for tours to Hill Top, we found this one and decided to book it because a previous review for this company aid you get VIP treatment. They were right! We did too and had a lovely morning learning about Beatrix Potter and her life. The places we went to were lovely and the scenery was absolutely gorgeous. We would certainly use this company again. Thanks xx
