Vårt första stopp blir Ibra där vi besöker den gamla delen av Ibra, som är gammal över 1000 år. Den är byggd av lera och kalksten man kan gå runt i byn, byn är inte helt överflödad det bor fortfarande några människor där.
Från Ibra fortsätter vi vår resa till Wahiba Sands öken, denna spektakulära öken har ett område på 12 500 kvadratmeter de kallade också Al Sharqiya Sands, tidigare känd som "The Wahiba Sands" det är en region i öknen i Oman regionen var uppkallad efter Bani Wahiba stammen, uppdelad mellan norra och södra guvernementen i den östra regionen, området definieras av en gräns på 180 km från norr till söder och 80 km från öst till väst, njuta av en lätt äventyrlig 4x4 sanddyn enhet, följt av att titta på den fantastiska solnedgången i öknen på en av de stora sanddynerna följt av buffé middag i lägret.

I booked this trip for my parents and they came back beaming :) Haroun the guide picked them up from my house in Muscat and took them on a fantastic tour of Ibra, and the desert followed by a sumptuous meal at a desert camp. Haroun also sprinkled his personal magic and expert knowledge on the experience. My parents said the whole excursion was 5 star and they would love to have another tour in the future. Real Omani hospitality. Recommened.

Absolutely stunning. I cannot explain how other worldly drinking tea at sunset on top of a sand dune is. The colours, the sand under your feet, how the sand gets hotter as you push a finger deeper into the dune. The phrase "magnificent desolation" from Apollo 11 springs to mind. I cannot recommend this enough. Our guide Ahmed was fascinating, charming, incredibly knowledgeable agilely adapting to our needs and requests. I learned more about Oman in a few hours than I ever expected. Vehicle excellent. The ginger boiled sweets are recommended!
