Dagen börjar mycket tidigt, med upphämtningar mellan 3 :00 och 3 :30 direkt från ditt vandrarhem eller hotell i Cusco till Cusipata. Den första körningen tar cirka 1 timme och 30 minuter.
Första stoppet blir i Cusipata i 30 minuter för att äta frukost. Därifrån fortsätter vi vår resa i ytterligare en och en halv timme, passerar genom byn Pitumarca tills vi når Hanchipata-Llama Chimpana, där vandringen börjar.
Ni börjar vandringen vid foten av bergskedjan Ausangate och tar er upp i cirka 1 timme och 45 minuter. Vi kommer sedan att nå den högsta punkten på Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca), den bästa platsen att se de otroliga färgerna och den snöklädda Ausangate toppen.
Det här blir bergets högsta punkt. Du kommer att ha möjlighet att se olika typer av sydamerikanska kameler (släktingar till kameler). Vi kommer också att besöka Röda kullen, där du har tid att njuta av landskapet och ta vackra bilder. Observera att entréavgiften till Red Hill inte ingår i biljettpriset.
Stanna i Cusipata för lunch.
Ni avslutar vandringen med en 1 - timmes nedstigning över flack terräng och återvänder till platsen där vandringen började. Chauffören väntar på att ta dig tillbaka till distriktet Cusipata för en 1 - timme traditionell lunch. Efter lunch återvänder vi till Cusco och anländer cirka kl. 15.30.

Rainbow Mountain is a tough hike because of the altitude but Robinson was an amazing guide and kept us motivated throughout! He was very communicative on the front end and ensured that we had an amazing experience.

My sister, daughter, nephew and I had an incredible experience on our private Rainbow Mountain tour, thanks to our amazing guide Flor and driver Edy. From start to finish, everything was well organized and smooth. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely passionate about the area. This was the most amazing experience. David was an experienced, knowledgeable and highly supportive guide. This is quite challenging given the altitude but with David’s expertise we managed, and thoroughly enjoyed, the day. Rainbow Mountain is really great but the Red Valley blew us away. The Agency were very responsive, communicative and helpful. Would highly recommend this tour.

Went on a tour to the rainbow mountain and red valley with Darwin the guide and it was great. We went early to see the sites, we saw Andean eagles flying, which was great, and the weather was also really good
