Dyk in i den spännande svenska vikingtiden på en privat 5 timmars guidad tur från Stockholm. Besök viktiga vikingplatser av stort historiskt värde, en samling, en bro och en gravmark. Titta på vackra runestenar och höra de meddelanden som de vill att du ska veta. Se Sveriges äldsta stad, Sigtuna. Du kommer att gå huvudgatan som spårar sig tillbaka till 980 e.Kr. Du kommer att se medeltida kyrkliga ruiner och ganska traditionella trähus från 1700-talet. Hotell hämtning och avstängning ingår.

Gå över och beundra runstenes vid en ombyggd vikingväg. Hör om vikingherren Jarlabanke och vikingherrarna, deras liv och hur de styrde befolkningen. Om viken och handelsnät.
Besök en av de bäst bevarade mötesplatserna / Thing-platserna i Europa och dess stenar. Här om Skålhamra-familjen och makten som kom med att skapa en mötesplats. Dyk ned i några av vikingatidens lagar och kulturer med Kingrop-samhället och mer.

Besök den söta wodden staden Sigtuna, promenera längs huvudgatan med dess vikingata som böjs fortfarande kvar idag. Besök några av dess kyrkoruiner och besök Mariakyrkan. (Om den är öppen), det enda minnet om ett kraftfullt kloster som ligger precis utanför själva staden.
Besök i kärnruinen St Olof, den största och mest välbevarade kyrkorruinen av de 3 runt Sigtuna stad. Det är också det som byggs runt en helig brunn runt 1080-1120.

Alla centrala hotell, hamnar och andra boenden inom 3 km från Stockholms centralstation (ingen hämtning vid Nynäshamn hamn utan i stället resor till mötesplatsen i Stockholm). Om din tur avgår från kryssningsbryggan: Om ditt skepp anländer till S165 och S167 STADSGÅRDEN: Gå några hundra meter bort från ditt skepp medan du följer de BLÅ / GRÖNA linjerna. Gå förbi staket och vakter, så kommer din guide att vänta där med ett skylt som säger "Viking Tours" på A4-papper. OBS: Om du anger något annat hamnenummer i STADSGÅRDEN än S165 eller S167, gå utanför stängselna och vakterna och guiden möter dig där vid tidpunkten för turnén. Om ditt skepp anländer till F638 FRIHAMNEN: När du går ombord på fartyget, gå igenom terminalbyggnaden. När du går förbi skjutdörrarna (alla andra som lämnar fartyget går ut på detta sätt) kommer guiden att möta dig precis utanför skjutdörrarna. Guiden kommer att hålla ett A4-papper som säger "Viking Tours". OBS: Om du anger något annat hamnnummer i FRIHAMNEN än F638, gå utanför stängslarna och vakterna så kommer guiden att möta dig där vid tidpunkten för turnén. Om ditt skepp anländer till V523 VÄRTAHAMNEN: Gå från ditt skepp mot turistbussarna, som ligger mindre än 10 meter från fartygsskrovet. Guiden väntar på dig i turistbussområdet, nära bussarna, med en A4-papper, som säger "Viking Tours." Guiden leder dig sedan till turfordonet. OBS: Om du anger något annat hamnenummer i VÄRTAHAMNEN än V523, gå utanför stängslarna och vakterna så kommer guiden att möta dig där vid tidpunkten för turnén. Om ditt skepp anländer till NYNÄSHAMN: INGEN Hämtning ingår här. Det på grund av att det är 50 km från Stockholms centralstation. Vi rekommenderar att du tar kontakt och beslutar med oss en mötesplats i centrala Stockholm. Vi kommer att ge vägbeskrivning hur du åker dit antingen med tåg eller som tar en av kryssningsbussarna som går från hamnen till Stockholm. Om du är osäker på vilken brygga ditt skepp anländer till, kontrollera med kryssningsfartyget.

Olof knew a great deal about the Viking period in Sweden and drove us to several sites that had original rune stones teaching us about runes and the stone monuments He took us to the first capital of Sweden Sigtuna where there has been a lot of excavations revealing Viking life.

If you're looking for a tour company in Sweden, this is the company to go with. Had private tours across two days and covered so much ground. Both Calle and Olaf were amazing guides that were very knowledgeable about their country and clearly loved walking us through the history. Definitely check out Sigtuna, Old Town and an archipelago tour - we did a trip to Vaxholm which was amazing. We weren't sure which tours to book at first, so we reached out and they helped develop the perfect schedule to fit our needs and wants. We were in Stockholm for three nights and felt we covered so much ground, left feeling very happy and wanting to return. Thank you!!!

Jakob was very knowledgeable and passionate about the Viking Era (8th-11th centuries). He was able to bring to life the Viking ruins that are left—rune stones and a church. And he didn’t mind being peppered with questions. This not Rome or Athens grade ruins but if you’re truly curious about the time, you’ll enjoy the tour. Pick up (cruise port) and drop off (airport) were convenient.

If you love history, this is a tour for you. We learned so much about ancient runes and Viking era history. We don’t usually do private tours, but it was wonderful getting all of our questions answered. Enjoyed our time in Sigtuna and visiting the old church there. Interesting hearing about the blending of religions. Erik was an excellent guide.

I believe this was a great tour with a not so great mix of circumstances. Our guide was nice, shared a lot of information and gave us a great day exploring some of Sweden’s Viking past. Unfortunately both of us have some slight hearing difficulties and that, coupled with his strong accent made it very challenging to understand much of what he shared. I did ask him to repeat a few times and he did immediately but I really didn’t want to do that all day long. We still had a fascinating day and learned a lot, but we did not get the full story as many details were simply lost.
Hi, so so sorry to hear about your hearing difficulties who together with the Swedish accent make an issue to understand what the guide is saying. Totally understand that it did became a disapointment as you didnt get the full picture, if I had known i might have been able to stear what guide you got as I have one who lived in USA and don't have an accent. The history of the rune stones and the viking people. Gabriel was fantastic very informative about the history of the area and the people.
We had an excellent tour with Emma. She gave us much insight into Viking life and ruins. We also enjoyed her story telling ability. Definitely recommend.
Great stories and historical information about the Vikings and their lifestyle. We saw many ruins and got a good sense of their meaning.
