First, the boat did not break down or leave you stranded. During the trip, the engine intake became temporarily clogged with seaweed, which is common during seaweed season in South Florida. Captain Orlando safely stopped for a few minutes to clear the filter, and the trip continued normally. At no point was the vessel disabled or drifting helplessly as described. Regarding the speed of the boat, our marina is located in downtown Miami near Brickell, one of the most desirable and secure areas in the city and one of the closest marinas to Biscayne Bay. The route from the marina is through a federally protected manatee zone, where Florida law requires all vessels to operate at idle or minimum wake speed. This is not our policy—it is the law, and every captain is required to follow it. Your comments regarding air conditioning are also misleading. The boat you reserved does not advertise or include air conditioning anywhere in the listing. We encourage all guests to carefully read the vessel description and amenities before booking to ensure they select the boat that best fits their expectations. Captain Orlando has earned outstanding feedback from hundreds of guests and is consistently recognized for his professionalism and friendly attitude. Your description of his conduct is completely inconsistent with the experience of the many guests he has safely chartered over the years. We also want to clarify that no refund was ever promised, because the trip was successfully completed. In fact, although your group arrived late, we still ensured you received your full charter time as a courtesy. Likewise, we never called or begged you not to leave a review. We encourage every guest to leave honest feedback, whether positive or negative. Unfortunately, throughout our conversations, our staff—including myself as the owner—were treated with repeated disrespect despite our efforts to accommodate your group. You also threatened multiple times to leave a negative review if your demands were not met. We stand behind our service, our crew, and our operation.
