Alona is an amazing guide! We spent yesterday morning touring Pompei with Alona. Her knowledge and passion about Pompei was educational and inspiring. She did everything she could to make sure we had the best experience. My wife was in a wheelchair and she made sure her experience was as fantastic as everyone’s. While sharing her incredible knowledge with us, she also directed crowds (I.e. cruise ship tour groups) out of the way so my wife had access to everything. Ask for Alona when you book!

We had a great tour with Alona! We covered so much ground while not getting exhausted - the tour was the perfect length and she provided so much background without it feeling like too much. Also, I tripped early in the tour and Alona brought medical support over right away so I could enjoy the rest of the tour. Highly recommend this experience!

Not only did she explain everything we saw wonderfully well and with great passion, but she also chose the best route to go against the crowd (there were many people) to help us enjoy the experience to the fullest. Angela was exceptional. She knew the areas of Pompeii that are most of interest and could help us navigate the vast site with ease. She showed us a wide variety of sights and was able to help our teenage children to connect what they already know about the Romans to what they were seeing and experiencing. Her English was superb and she was very friendly.

It's an enormous site, you could spend days exploring, and simply walking around looking at things without context is a missed opportunity.
