Paul Krugers hus på nr 60 Nkomo Street tidigare känd som Church Str. hus med galvaniserat plåttak och en veranda är ett museum som innehåller de gamla originalmöblerna som användes av familjen Kruger.
Huset ligger mittemot Gereformeerde kerk, kyrkan som Oom Paul och hans fru brukade besöka på söndagar och han skulle ge ett eller två ord om han behövdes även om han aldrig var en predikant.
Vid ingången precis vid Varender blir du välkomnad av de två marmorlejon som donerats av Krugers vän, Barney Barnato.

Stadshuset, med sitt dödsdömda klocktorn, invigdes 1935. klockspelet med 32 cylindriska klockor donerades av Sir George Heys, den första ägaren till Melrose House.

Melrose House, på Jacob Mare Street, är huset där undertecknandet av Vereeniging-freden ägde rum den 31 maj 1902 för att avsluta kriget i Sydafrika. George Heys, mannen med många mysterier, under kriget rekvirerades huset av britterna som det kejserliga högkvarteret i Sydafrika och det förvandlades till lord Roberts, överbefälhavaren för de brittiska styrkornas bostad.

Sydafrikas regeringshögkvarter är baserat på Meintlies Kop och är känt som Union Buildings. Den designades av Sir Herbert Baker i renässansen med klassiska idiom. Byggd 1910 färdigställd 1913.

The most important parts of Pretoria
Well organized for touring the most important aspects of Pretoria.

Pretoria overview
A great overview of Pretoria including the major sights. Our guide Ben was informative and has an indepth knowledge of the freezes inside the Voortrekker monument, which was extreamily interesting and educational. Admissions were included to the sites, and there is time to explore the Monument and Ditsong Kruger Museum.

Nice half-day trip
Transport was included. The tour was very private, just us to and the driver. Therefore just by car.
We visited 3 places, and the Foretracker Monument was the most interesting a d we got the most information.
The other 2 places, we visited mostly alone.

Very good guide

Fascinating & varied Pretoria tour 👍
Really excellent trip around Pretoria including Vortrekker monument, Kruger house, downtown Pretoria & finishing wandering around beautiful gardens & viewing the 9m tall bronze Mandela monument . Brilliant educated guide👍

Very interesting tour, lots of history.
Thank you to Ben! He fetched us from our hotel and drove us on a historic to present day tour of Pretoria. We learned a lot about the area and some about South Africa in general. We had a great tour of the Voortrekker monument and farm grounds, Kruger house museum, and the Union buildings where the giant statue of Mandela is located.
Funny story while at the statue: there were a lot of elementary students there that day and as I was climbing back up the steps two young girls said hello. I said hello back and one asked how old I am. I told her I am 70, and she said 'Wow! You're old!' : )) We drove by Church Square, beautiful Palace of Justice building, sadly an unsafe area.
We highly recommend this tour, it was well worth our time.

An excellent way to learn about Pretoria
Ben came to collect us at 9am sharp. He was warm, friendly and very knowledgeable. We visited the main sites of historical interest and had plenty of time to look around. Ben gave us lots of additional background information as we drove around and at the sites. The only negative was a lack of air conditioning in the car - we opened the windows.
