Vi har en passion för att upptäcka den här unika stadens mindre kända historiska skatter till fots. Vår turné börjar med det imponerande Galatatornet som har utsikt över Bosporen och Gamla staden. Vi tar dig från den stora turistleden till multikulturella Fener, Balat och Ayvansaray. Det här är de gamla stadsdelarna i Istanbul där Konstantinopel officiellt slutar, vilket innebär att vi beundrar överlevande bysantinska stadsmurar och upptäcker historiska kyrkor, moskéer, synagogor, traditionella hus och till och med resterna av ett palats. Avsluta vår turné med en avkopplande färjeresa längs Gyllene hornet.

Vi kommer att se ett fantastiskt panorama från Istanbul från toppen av detta torn. En av stadens mest utmärkande sevärdheter, denna stora befästning med anor från 1348 byggdes av genuesiska italienare.

Under den ottomanska eran var Beyoğlu (då känd som Pera) Istanbuls europeiska kvarter. Här finns ambassader och handelscentra samt fina hyreshus i parisisk stil från 1800-talet.
Bascule-bron som sträcker sig över Gyllene hornet ger både en verklig och symbolisk länk mellan två viktiga delar av Istanbul.
Halic (Golden Horn) betyder inlopp på engelska som skiljer de gamla och nya delarna av Istanbul. Utsikten över denna vattenkropp är magnifik, särskilt i gryningen eller skymningen
Det ekumeniska patriarkatet är erkänt som det andliga centrumet (i princip "Vatikanen") för de östortodoxa kristna.
Färgglada gator i Fener och Balat väntar på dig. Man skulle kunna beskriva de kombinerade stadsdelarna Ayvansaray, Balat och Fener som en miniatyrkrönika av den bysantinska, ottomanska och moderna tiden. Dessa gator har varit värd för de mest inflytelserika imperier tillsammans med sina monument; inhyste en mosaik av samhällen.
Detta är en nyfiken, nygotisk vitmålad kyrka och intressant uppbyggd av gjutjärnspartier. Byggde eller borde säga "gjutna" i Wien 1896 och kördes ända till Istanbul.

Konstantinopels murar var medeltidens största befästningar. Med olika torn och portar står stora sektioner mer eller mindre intakta än idag.
Den historiska staden Istanbul, den enda staden i världen som ligger på två kontinenter, var huvudstad i tre stora imperier; romerska, bysantinska och osmanska riket.
Karaköy är en av de äldsta och mest historiska stadsdelarna i staden och är idag ett viktigt kommersiellt centrum och transportnav.

Kim was exceptional, super friendly, and knowledgeable. I highly recommend to anyone who want too see and experience some out of the beaten path. It was worth it. Kim even put a special touch and stopped to get tea and baklava. Yummy. Very special trip.
The tour was fantastic—our guide Erol was extremely knowledgeable about historic facts and dates, explaining how much the city has changed while taking us to great spots for photos. Travelling by tram and ferry was smooth because he had everything perfectly organised, and we even stopped to enjoy some delicious sweets along the way. Even though it was low season and we were the only ones on the tour, he never rushed; he took his time, explained everything in detail, and made the whole experience feel personal and memorable. Highly recommended and fantastic guide
The tour was fantastic, especially thanks to our guide Ergil, who was enthusiastic and very knowledgeable. We began at the Galata Tower, enjoying a beautiful panoramic view of Istanbul. Then we explored the historic neighborhoods of Balat and Fener, full of colorful streets and rich multicultural history. A very pleasant walk combining great views, culture, and authentic local atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Loved the Galata Tower and its fascinating history. Erol gave us a great deal of interesting information about the entire area including its history and its architecture. We also stopped for some delicious sweets. Erol is a great guide. He spoke so passionately and knowledgeably about the area and answered all our questions very thoroughly. Some of the streets were rather steep, which made walking a little difficult at times but Erol was very thoughtful and helpful. Thank you for an interesting tour.
