Svetitskhoveli-katedralen är en östlig ortodox katedral belägen i den historiska staden Mtskheta, Georgien, i nordväst om den georgiska huvudstaden Tbilisi. Ett mästerverk av den tidiga medeltiden, Svetitskhoveli är erkänd av UNESCO som världsarvslista. Det är för närvarande den näst största kyrkobyggnaden i Georgien, efter den heliga treenighetskatedralen.
Jvari Monastery (Georgian: ჯვრის მონასტერი) är ett georgiskt ortodox kloster från sjätte århundradet nära Mtskheta, östra Georgien. Tillsammans med andra historiska strukturer av Mtskheta, är det listat som en världsarv av UNESCO. Jvari Monastery står på den steniga bergstoppen vid sammanflödet mellan Mtkvari och Aragvi. Enligt traditionella konton, på denna plats i den tidiga 4: e århundradet Saint Nino, en kvinnlig evangelist som krediteras med att konvertera kungen Mirian III av Iberia till kristendomen, uppförde ett stort träkors på platsen för ett hedniskt tempel. Korset kunde enligt uppgift arbeta mirakel och drog därför pilgrimer från hela Kaukasus. En liten kyrka uppfördes över resterna av träkorset i c.545 som heter "Små kyrkan" Jvari "
Zhinvali-dammen är en vattenkraftdamm på Aragvi-floden i Kaukasus-bergen i Zhinvali, Georgien. Vattenkraftverket Zhinvali har två turbiner med en nominell kapacitet på 65 MW, vardera har en totalkapacitet på 130 MW. Jinvali vattenreservoar har en unik V-form och vattenfärgen är också mycket speciell med en underbar utsikt.
Ananuri (Georgian: ანანური) är ett slottskomplex på Aragvi-floden i Georgien, cirka 45 kilometer från Tbilisi. En feodal dynasti som styrde området från 1200-talet. Slottet var scenen för många slag. Inom komplexet är bland andra byggnader två kyrkor. Den äldre kyrkan av Jungfru, som ligger intill ett högt torg, har graven på några av Aragvias dukes. Det är från första hälften av 1700-talet och byggdes av tegelsten. Guds moderns större kyrka (Ghvtismshobeli), byggd 1689 för Duke Bardzems son. Det är en central kupolstilstruktur med rikt inredda fasader, inklusive en snidad norr ingång och ett snidat vinrankor på södra fasaden. Det innehåller också resterna av ett antal fresker, varav de flesta förstördes av elden på 1700-talet.
Denna plats har en underbar utsikt över bergen och dalen. Även bilderna i väggen är så vackra. . Detta monument byggdes 1983 för att fira det halvtioåriga av Georgievskfördraget och den "pågående vänskapen" mellan Georgien och Sovjet Ryssland. Det finns massor av aktiviteter som går i närheten som ballong och paragliding.
Källan av mineralvatten och ovanliga Travertin stenar som har bildats här över miljontals år.
Gergeti Trinity Church är ett populärt namn för Holy Trinity Church nära byn Gergeti i Georgien. Kyrkan ligger på högra stranden av floden Chkheri (den vänstra bifloden till floden Terek), på en höjd av 2170 meter (7120 fot), under berget Kazbegi. Gergeti Trinity Church byggdes på 1300-talet . För att komma upp i kyrkan måste du ta lokal förare med bil dess kostnad 80 Gel (30USD) ingår inte i priset.

Highly recommend this tour with Guri. He was accommodating, flexible and quite chill. You can spend as much time as you want in one place and he’d just wait for you. The spots are stunning. It’s a must go in Georgia.
I should have been alerted when I seen there were no reviews of this operator for some 3 years. This is not a reliable outfit, failing to deliver on a pre booked and pre paid tour. Attempts to secure a refund remain on-going but the company are, of course, incommunicado.
The skilled driver was very friendly, but he picked me up at the hotel two hours too late and he barely spoke more than 3 words of English (as he admitted himself). The Georgian landscape is beautiful, but we could not reach the last two destinations. Still I'm glad to have seen part of Georgia, and I will certainly come back (but not with this tour company).
Our Tour guide was David. He is very patient, sweet and one of the most genuine people we met in Georgia. He helped in exploring all the best places and explained to us everything very calmly. I highly recommend him to any visitor coming to Georgia. Just book a tour with him and you’ll surely make a great friend by the end of your trip.
we booked this Tour from Tbilisi to Mtskheta, Ananuri, Gudauri e Kazbegi, in selling description was complete of driving and professional guide in English. We started to visit the Svetitskhovely Cathedral and we were waiting for an explanation or some informations from the "guide" but he said nothing and only gave us his mobile with Wikipedia webpage dedicated to the Cathedral. After this also in the other Churches he made the same offer. We, of course, read by ourselves the informations about monuments but wasn’t the service we asked. From a driving point of vew this guy was a very good driver, he was also a nice person but it was a pity that didn't tell us any information about the interesting places. He was only a driver not a touristic guide! We had to check for all the time Wikipedia on internet....And for the amount (EUR €163,64 for two persons) we expect a different treatment. We wanted only a normal general guide but he didn't say NO ONE WORD, nor historical, nor religious, nor about nothing. We told everything to the chief Mr Goga Gogadze asking back part of money for missing guide but he avoided his responsibilities. Be sure to have an official touristic guide!!
This tour has alot to offer, and if you don’t spend too long in each site, you’ll manage to see everything and get back early. The beauty of the Gudauri region will amaze you. If you are an adrenaline junkie, and plan ahead, you’ll be able to book a paragliding session. Unfortunately I didn’t k now about it, so there was no time to do it. During this tour, you’ll also visit many beautiful churches and monasteries including the UNESCO site- Jvari Monastery. Our guide Lasha was very friendly and took lovely photos of us :)
My guide, Dachi, did a great job showing me around. I had only a few days so trips like this that show several sights, including Mtskgeta, on the way to Kazbegi are key. During the stretches of roads between sights, Dachi kept it interesting with good conversation. Dachi also arranged other transportation in Georgia.
This was a well executed and well planned. Our tour guide Wako was great who gave us great information, drove safe. We covered all the spots with ease and learnt about the history, culture, music along the way. Well priced! Would highly recommend them!
A full day private trip with our guide Giorgi. The guide arrived promptly and introduced himself. The tour was delivered as advertised. We ride on a new comfortable vehicle. Guide never rushed us and assisted in case we wanted to take a photo of us together during the tour. His knowledge about monasteries was adequate, but don't expect the guide will give you a detailed information as there are too many things to see and to do in one day. Also guide suggested us where to have a lunch.
One of the best private tour. Kudos to Mr. David & of course Mr. Vakho who become our most trusted Georgian family friend rather than just guide. It is safe and memorable day tour. Mr. Vakho detailed knowledge about each place visited and hospitality is beyond appreciation.
