Vandringssafari från Mount Longonot avgår dagligen från Nairobi efter frukost och enheten tar ungefär en timme. Du börjar samtycket på 6000 fot. Liksom alla bra uppförsbackar kommer det att lugna dig till en känsla av falsk säkerhet med en långsam mild uppgång till den första toppen. Detta ger dig en chans att frigöra dina lungor och lemmar för det andra avsnittet, som är det mest fantastiska. I slutet av varje avsnitt finns en vilopunkt där du kan förbereda dig för nästa del av din resa. Du kommer att ha börjat tidigt för att undvika solens värme men när du når slutet av det andra avsnittet skulle du ha genererat din egen värme. Denna vandring är inte en enkel vandring men kan uppnås av människor med en genomsnittlig kondition. Vår guide kommer att följa dig till toppen. När du värmer dig över kraterens kant är din belöning den fantastiska synen av Naivasha och Great Rift Valley och du vet att det var allt värt. Hela turen är bara cirka 8–9 km lång men väldigt brant, så att parkens grind - Longonot Peak - parkporten tar cirka 5 timmars vandring. Vandrare måste vara rimligt lämpade att delta på denna vandring. Den magnifika utsikten från själva kraterranden är dock värt varje smärtsamt steg och ansträngning. Den här vandring är av måttlig svårighet med brant klättring. Terrängen har fint damm, med löst grus i vissa områden av vandringen. Du bör ta med dig bekväma vandringsskor, lätta kläder och dricksvatten. När du går av berget kan du ta en paus i Mount Longonot National Park huvudkontor innan du går till sjön Navaisha, där du har möjlighet att köpa lunch på Marina Camp vid sjön. Om så önskas kan du boka en sightseeingbåttur vid sjön Navaisha, där hundratals fågelarter trivs tillsammans med en flodhästpopulation. Efter din tid vid sjön Navaisha avslutas denna turné med returflytt till ditt hotell i Nairobi.

A perfect trip with Gracepatt Ecotours, even the day before the contact and booking with Grace was perfect. Our driver Titus picked us up at 6:00 in the morning on time from our private accommodation (at friends) in Nairobi. Nobody was on the tour except the two of us. After a very pleasant ride with Titus to Longonok National Park we started at 8:00 a.m. with the local guide Lewis on the Longonok. Lewis took us to the summit and told us a lot about the plants and animals in the park, about the volcano and much more. We were very happy that we started so early and were already back around noon when it got really hot. Afterwards we continued with Titus to Lake Navasha - the boat trip is highly recommended and worth every shilling (per person 3000 shillings, 25 USD). Titus was so super kind to lend us the 6000 shillings for the boat tour until the next day, because we had assumed that we could pay for the boat tour by card. The return trip with Titus was also very pleasant and we were back in Nairobi after a beautiful eventful tour about 17:00. Thank you Titus, thank you Grace!
What an experience! Kelvin was an amazing guide, trekking us up the beautiful Mt Longonot. He pointed out various wildlife along with educating us on the trees and flora in this area. He was also a great sport in taking pictures of us at the summit. We enjoyed every minute of this tour (ok so the last few steps were probably not enjoyed because we were exhausted!!:)) This is a great tour that everyone should check out! Spectacular! As well as the hiking we went on a boat trips seeing lots of wildlife. Both of the guides for each section were very knowledge and Stephen knew all the best pla especially to go resulting in a wonderful lunch by the lake side

It was a great day from the drive out to Mt Longonot to the climb, reasonable fitness and head for heights as it is an all 4's climb if you want to complete the climb up to the peak and walk the whole way around the rim.

Challenging for us (in our 50s) but that was part of the attraction. We had the perfect guide who was keen for us to enjoy the experience. Recommend a hat and lots high factor protection.

Kelvin was an excellent driver w/ nice sedan, Kennedy-Darius was an caring guide of Mt. Longonot. You can expect great view of the Rift Valley from the viewpoint and from the top of Mt. Longonot. If you prefer to go around the crater of Mt. Longonot, which takes 5-6 hours, ask upon booking. At Lake Naivasha, you'll have great chance of seeing many birds, hippos, giraffes, and zebras.
